  1. That “push” with full arm extension clearly looks like violent conduct to me.
  2. Excellent, always disliked our cuddly bear image (and ignoring the assumption we’ll still be here next season)
  3. I actually had to check that this was real- dearie me. I'm not sure which is more tin-pot: the fact that we include runners up in the lower divisions as an "honour", or the fact that even this is incomplete. We finished runners-up at this level in 2009, for example.
  4. I think it’s 5 times- Bankies, QotS, Ayr twice and Thistle. If you do take him on and he gets you up, remember to sack him immediately if you have ambitions beyond the Championship
  5. But had he been sacked immediately after the last of these losses, then perhaps we wouldn’t have dropped 6 points at home to Hamilton and Cove, the latter being their only win in 14 games, and be right in it now.
  6. Dropping 7 points in our three games (two at home) v. Cove and 5 points in our two home games v. Accies is a big part of the problem
  7. This is quite a freak run, really. There’s unlikely to be much difference in quality between the sides per season
  8. But it's been nowhere near a full strength squad. Our (first) bad run, when we lost 5 on the bounce conceding 3 or more per game, was largely precipitated by an injury to Holt. For much of this spell, the injury list wasn't as bad as made out (e.g., the starting line-up in our 4-0 loss to QP had a defence including Milne, Muirhead and McMillan (Brownlie on the bench), and a forward line of Tiff, BG and Lawless (Mullen and Dowds on the bench). The game that started that run (away to Inverness) had much the same starting line-up but with Holt available). Holt has been unavailable the past two games. Holt's replacement on Saturday (Brownlie) was unavailable yesterday. Dools has not been able to name the same centre-back pairing in his 3 games. Against Ayr last week, there was no Graham and Dowds went off after 7 mins. Graham wasn't considered fit enough to start on Saturday. Another McCall favourite (Smith) has also been injured (although many or most would argue that this is to the side's benefit).
  9. I suspect this has been more that a very audible (unspecified) number have. I think plenty were happy enough, while many more were like me (on the fence for now but happy to give it till the end of the season provided we remained in the playoff mix). As for the timing, yes we played well enough today; however we lost and exited the last realistic chance of winning anything. Coupled with very poor league form it makes sense
  10. Only if we were drawn at home- McNamara’s away record that season is worse than McCall’s this year
  11. All ready with small bag packed for a few day’s break away and no house sitter turns up to watch the dugs…
  12. To be fair, we did get 275k for Fitzpatrick, who really hadn't done that much for us (and in the second tier too). And Hamilton got a Mil for Hendrie, do who knows?
  13. Very good overall. Two new exciting attacking wing-backs. A plethora of additional attacking options in Dowds, Fitzpatrick, Lawless (who's been a revelation considering how little the Pars rated him last season), Mullen (all of which proven to some degree at this level) , plus a punt on Weston (all on top of Graham and Tiffoney). McKinnon looks a cut above the usual Rangers loanees (like Mayo last year). I'm not entirely sure whether Mitchell is better than Sneddon, but equally I'm not sure he's worse, and considering Sneddon was our player of the season last year then whoever is backup is a massive improvement on last season's backup The only negative is that, while Muirhead is a solid enough edition, he's unlikely to be as good as Mayo- however Mayo was only here on loan anyway and we now have Brownlie back after a season long injury.
  14. They won't even be in charge of the club. They will simply own the club while ceding complete control to the present board without any apparent representation.
  15. So he ended up being more or less first choice for you last season, and you won the league last season- is that correct? If so, I'm not sure how your first sentence and second sentence are consistent really.
  16. I remember a few fans turning around and leaving when we went 2-0 down v. Gretna in under 2 minutes. Yes it was painful and embarrassing but still I never get it (and we ended up drawing anyway)
  17. I genuinely don't. Sorry.
  18. Learn what? Not to enjoy periods of relative success when both the men and women can reach a final of a major tournament. It is meant to be fun you know. I mean, I was at Scotland's (men's) win against Denmark and there was some proper celebration after that, and that was just for winning a home draw in a tie that was then lost!
  19. I could have told Hemming to stay put for big Graham’s penalty
  20. It should have been a simple decision- he was level with play and Lawless was behind the ball. Absolutely no way should he be getting that wrong
