  1. Outstanding result that could prove vital come the end of the season
  2. We don’t have the budget to keep players to be in and around the place imo. Hopefully an agreement can be reached and he can be moved on.
  3. Quite clearly there is absolutely zero chance of FSS reaching 2400 members, through no fault of anyone. There is therefore absolutely no point in wasting time considering that possibility in my view, and alternatives have to be considered.
  4. Jamie has now said on Twitter that covers will need to be purchased
  5. Of course bit but it has given Hamilton a psychological advantage. It defeats the point of having an all weather pitch in my view if it can’t be cleared and we have no covers.
  6. Pretty much any level of snowfall will result in a game being off if the pitch can’t be cleared.
  7. Seems like it would be worth the investment if we can’t clear snow from the pitch as Jamie Swinney has suggested. Going to be a lot of postponed games if that’s the case.
  8. Any player who has achieved over 180 games in French Ligue 1 before joining us quite clearly has quality in my view. One of the most technically gifted players ever to play for Falkirk. Quite possibly a reflection on where Scottish football is now. Not to take anything away from Aafjes, who was also excellent.
  9. Fantastic performance last night- we controlled the game throughout and fully deserved the win. Morrison was outstanding.
  10. How about putting hundreds of thousands of pounds into the club over the years, including an emergency injection of cash only last year?
  11. I don’t disagree with the sentiment but to be frank I sincerely hope the board do not seriously think 3000 fans being FSS members is a possibility.
  12. As the current board have recognised, it is not affordable or sustainable to run a full scale academy outside the premier league. The decision not to proceed with a reserve squad this season was the perfect example. Our limited resources have to be focused where they can have most immediate impact rather than on copious youth squads, physios and sports scientists.
  13. Which is the way it should be imo. We are in league 1 and the board are absolutely right in prioritising resources to the first team squad. In my view the academy was allowed to run away with itself to an extent under previous regimes and we were spending totally unsustainable sums for a club outside the premier league. The academy should be there to support the first team, not the other way around. The current board have that absolutely spot on.
  14. Frankly I disagree that supporters who already contribute hundreds of pounds per year to the club should be criticised for not being able to/wanting to contribute even more. Particularly when the number of FSS members we allegedly need to be sustainable is never going to happen.
  15. It appears to me the envisaged change to the business model was ti have 2500+ FSS members. In my view it is and always has been clear that figure is delusional.
  16. Thought neither side really threatened. Draw not the worst result but it does put a lot of pressure on the games at NDP as I can’t see Hamilton slipping up much. Yeats, Lang, McCann and Morrison best for us. Won’t be popular but I thought tonight showed Maciver’s limitations in the lone striker role.
  17. Quite clearly the vast, vast majority of fans cannot afford to donate anything like £10k to a football club. The fact that some generous people have done so does not mean other people should feel compelled to donate money they cannot afford.
  18. Many fans will quite reasonably feel like they contribute enough with STs (which went up 10%+ this year), strips etc. In the current climate, many just cannot justify even more football related expense.
  19. It is a delusional target. Its right to be ambitious but we need to be looking at other options if the only way to maintain a competitive budget is to have 2500 FSS members as that is simply not going to happen.
  20. We are not even in October yet. It’s a bit early to be getting the bunting out imo
  21. Thought Yeats was caught out a few times today tbh
  22. Not a great performance today but we were on top for most of the match and deserved the win. Could be an important 3 points come the end of the season Morrison and Spencer best for me. Nesbitt was back to the usual disappearing act and needs to offer much more in that position.
  23. I would hope given that game was on a Tuesday night, our recent form and the fact this is our first Saturday home game in 6 weeks, that we could get close.
