  1. If we do go up we'll still be one of the highest wage bills in the Championship.

There's not many clubs we'll lose players to. Most, if not all, of our squad isn't Premiership standard so would be sideways moves.

I'm confident we'll still have all of this squad bar Morrison next season if we want them.

I hope he gets a good move in the summer for a 4 figure weekly wage.

Not used to this..... its been so long since I couldn't wait to see the back of most signed players 🤣

Thinking exactly the same. Every Jan window for me for donkeys has been 'so, if we managed to ship out 12, or maybe 14 hopefully and bring in 16.. we might be ok'

Sorry but none of that makes NI a bad place to live. We have issues like that in Scotland too with certain football clubs but would hope that would never put anyone off living here. Glasgow is a great city to live in too, as far as I’m concerned.

    Every country has its issues.

Which is why that post was specifically about the disgusting club that is Linfield and their reptile knuckledragging bigot fans. Which you seems to have conveniently ignored.

If you sign for a vile club like Linfield good luck going to the Supporters events. Better make sure you have access to the 'right' songbook.

I'm sure there's some nice family clubs in Norn Iron that would be a pleasure to play for. Linfield ain't one of them.

  4. Let's be very clear here. Whilst Norn Iron may have improved since the days of Ian Paisley Linfield are a horrific club with horrible fans. Racially abusing a player last year just the latest incident. Adding a racist string to their already packed sectarian bow.

The year before a coach was sacked for vile behaviour around the death of a young Catholic abroad.

I dont think any amount of money would attract me to these reptiles.

Bet they are paying much more than us.

Maybe. But you've got to factor in having to live in Norn Iron and play for a club Satan rejected as it was a bit too extremist for his liking.

I'd take 1k a week to play at Salford before 2k a week to play for Sevco's paramilitary club.

The working practices here are mind boggling 🤯.

Genuinely making no judgement as this might be standard practice everywhere but an observation I'd have is the match day seems to be the bulk of intensive, time-sensitive work and theoretically where the most ROI is - stream, audio and replays - so why wouldn't you A) pay commensurate to recognise that B) put the most time and expertise into that "product".

Also finding that extraordinary. Back to the 90s where a group of old fellas used to manage ticket sales for big games themselves we have always treated volunteers appallingly. Even when times were good financially for us.

I would have loved to have seen him kick on for us but it just hasn't happened. I hope the laddie does enough up there to earn himself a contract for next season and beyond.

    All the best Ola.

Always seemed a really good dude. A good example of an ex player who'll get a good reception if he ever comes back. Never lacked effort or showed a bad attitude. Just wasn't good enough sadly.

    Not having that.

If we don’t get promoted this year with our strengthened squad we are in serious, serious trouble.

Cannot rely on income from a cup run to fund the club even if we had won today we could well have gone out in the next round after a less than lucrative tie away to the likes of Ayr or ICT.

Or we could have drawn Celtic away and got 6 figures.

The facts are we have relied on cup money to plug financial holes. We haven't got any other levers to pull. That's now fucked so we absolutely better go up.

This result piles way more pressure onto the league campaign.

Why do we have this absolute loser mentality within our support to not expect to perform in both the league and the cup?

Cup run last year arguably was the only way to deliver this year's squad.

It's vital financially.  This is a fucking disaster
