  1. Who turned out to be dug meat..

Just thinking back a couple of seasons to Reuben Sammut.. tales of him blitzing the beep test in training.. Chelsea product.. absolute boner-fest. And the rest is history.

But I'm not going to pick him. Mine is Danijel Marceta. Came from a real club (partizan belgrade) .. money involved..Slovenian u21 International .. big build up and..bang average is a generous assessment.

So who got your knickers wet then 6 months later drier than the Gobi desert?

We've signed countless proven goalscorers over the years.  Coyle, Baird, Mo Johnston & Cadette are 4 that come immediately to mind but there are plenty more.  Roman Wallner on paper arguably the best of the lot given his age and the level he'd been at (and would go onto again).  Bizarre what went on there.

Roman Wallner not getting games for us then popping off to the Champions League to bag a few was proper Twilight Zone stuff.

  3. GK should be by far the easiest position to recruit for. Teams down south have loads of them and most obviously never seen any game time.

It's pretty scandalous we've managed to sign so many duffers.

Hogarth was really underwhelming I thought. Only looked competent next to Morrison and Kinnear.

  4. Our current squad is a bag of shit. The new signings have to be really good but plenty of time yet.

6 or 7 more in and things can look very different. Pleased McGinn is staying.

I'd love to see Calumn Morrison leave too. His stats aren't bad but he fucking annoys me.

No fact. I am just a fan with a brain. The deal stated 20 year repayment period. If, like your mortgage, you want to pay it back quicker then why not. I presume the 20% is based on current income to FSS.

It would be really stupid to repay a 20 year interest free loan quicker though, unlike a mortgage.

20k in 2035 will buy you a loaf of bread.

    Genuine enquiries.

    • What happens if FSS folds in a couple of years because the club launch a new fundraising initiative down the line that all the fans pay into instead, and FSS income drops to the extent it cannot make repayments even using 100% of income?

The amount in FSS's bank account at that time is all that's repayable.

No sure what you’re getting at but it sounds like a cheap shot. The point here is what Shadwell said is pretty accurate, trying to fling in personal shit only shows up your obvious attempt at deflection from what he said.

Totally agree. Shodwall has always seemed a good dude to me with decent inputs - really poor form when people try and bring personal off forum shit in as ad hominem attacks.

  8. This looks really good. Interest free loan and no risk to FSS given they'll have next to f**k all in the bank every year if things go tits up .

Key thing for me was the repayment period which is long. Doesn't hamstring annual donations too much.

I think given this is a one off windfall it puts even more pressure on promotion this year. We will never again be in as good a financial position as we are right now imo until we reach the top division again.

Another year of failure and we're back to square one

What could possibly go wrong? A hefty loan given to a group where let's be honest their is a lack of accountability by the people who developed it. You only need to see that with the no chairman on the Club side of things. It hasn't worked out how they hoped so now borrowing money to kale their dream happen.

This isn't a hefty loan. Would barely buy you a flat in Edinburgh

In terms of ScotGov money it's a rounding error.
