  1. Its like an android that has thatcher sounding voice activated stock replies
  2. The state westminister is in currently is the biggest gift to indy2 I would say ever, the SNP need to make some capital from this while the window of opportunity is there. Theres nothing to lose at moment to do some big moves.
  3. The tories are on the ropes, its up to Labour and the SNP to finish them now and strike some heavy blows as soon as possible. If the Tories hold out on a GE its not because they can do it, its because all the other political parties have let them.
  4. Ive not heard of Richard Murphy before but its interesting points he raises. Is there anywhere where he has detailed what he thinks should happen?
  5. The SNP should come out tonight with a statement that if the Tories change leadership again without a GE, that they will go ahead and hold an indy2 ref asap Nows the time to stick the boot in
  6. A high pitched squeal/squeak I think it is more. I guess I just need to face the music. Thanks for the advice. Appreciated
  7. In this sort of political chaos, we would be well within our right to just go ahead and have a referendum with or without any court ruling. This shambles is reason enough for one let alone Brexit.
  8. a high pitched squeaking sound comes and go's. Hard to say exactly when its happening at moment. A quick google suggests possibly fan belt or brakes. Which is the more expensive so that I can pray its the other one?
  9. Brexit has shown that any big change has to have a good plan for what happens after and a plan that is ready for every eventuality. In saying that though it would be impossible to lose an indy2 vote if it happened tomorrow
  10. Its the arrogance of the Tory party, thats not surprising ofcourse but listening to them over the last couple of days. This refusal to have a GE after completely failing at governing the country in even the most minimal way. This is a failed government now, its been building up since Boris started in 2019 was it? and its been downhill until it fell off the cliff in the last week. Any party that had the least bit of self respect would realise whats best for the UK now. Again its no surprise they are still holding out but its beyond parody now. This is "in the thick of it" happening live on the news daily. Any tory mp on tv or radio is a complete rambling nonsensical mess at the moment as nothing that can be said can justfiy anything they do.
  11. Loving that Giants win
  12. That was a good performance, the pace was back thats been missing for some time. An early goal takes the edge off and most likely settles the nerves for taking chances but I also think Forrests hatrick was a lesson for rest of team. He is always very composed infront of goal. Theres been a slight urgency, rush quite often when we miss chances thats easy to see. A bit more calmness in final third would go a long way to getting more chances converted.
  13. it certainly makes the case of either having our own currency or accepting the euro if we rejoin eu a lot stronger
  14. Anyone watched this series? I remember it being really funny at times but it didnt seem to take off. It was only 1 season. It got decent reviews though.
  15. Creed singing that song really well at the christmas party is a great moment, it was only watching the show again that I noticed it and looked it up and realised he was in a band and that his character was fictionalised version of himself. I cant find the clip from the show though
  16. I started re-watching it recently, didnt think I would enjoy it so much 2nd time around but I have so far. I thought I had seen all episodes too but I dont remember the christmas episode just after the 2 offices merge. It was a brilliant christmas episode
  17. Maybe this can last forever...
  18. Im not that fussed either way, Independence for me is whats needed. Whether we rejoin EU or have some other relationship like Norway or whatever. I see benefits of being in EU and I also see some problems with being in EU, also the direction its going may not be something I agree with but as its very unclear what the long term plan is for EU its a bit of a moot point until it becomes clear. On a personal level though being in EU now would make my life easier but id be happy to go with whatever Scotland votes for.
  19. The tories are self imploding, theres nowhere for them to go. Call a GE and they will lose massively and infighting after will destroy them. Keep Liz Truss in power and things will get far worse for the UK and they will collapse and infighting will destroy whats left. Appoint a new leader and then they tear themselves apart with infighting. I may be optimistic but I can see the tories vote going the way that labours did
  20. I think theres no argument on another referendum, theres a valid reason and thats UK leaving EU when Scotland massively voted to stay. If a Yes vote was successful and at earliest now an indy2 would be in 2024 I think. Then a referendum would need to be held within Scotland to vote on rejoining EU. That could be done quite quickly though so within 2025. Then its just a matter of how the EU would accept Scotland, does it have to start from scratch in applying or is some speeded up process going to be allowed. Im not sure either way but I think we should plan as an independent country for being out of EU a while and I dont think thats a bad thing, it will all sort itself out with time after a Yes vote however long it takes.
