Assuming we stay up and Arbroath go down it’ll be a full time division for the first time in a good while so recruitment in this close season has to be a massive improvement on the past few windows. We’ll also have the Dipo money to add to the war chest (you’d hope), yet we’ll probably still manage to sign jobbers from Kings Lynn or Tamworth as well as the odd cast off from Thistle or Dunfermline. Recruitment has been atrocious over Glendinnings tenure, he should be first out the door before any bodies come in.

Chalmers doesn’t strike me as Brown’s type of player unfortunately. When he’s on it he’s top drawer, however if we’re under the cosh he’s no the sort to do any tracking back. Dont think we’ll see him in an Ayr jersey next season, so he’ll be an absolute stick on to sign for the likes of Thistle or a marquee signing for a resurgent Falkirk

Watching the highlights (or that stream back), I thought it looked okay but the sound quality for the commentary was disgraceful. How can the club be taking any pride in that sort of highlights package? The best highlights package in the lower leagues atm is Stranraer’s IMO. They’ve got it spot on with the quality of the stream/highlights and the commentary team are excellent.

Referee for tomorrow is Alan Muir. Last match he refereed for us was the 3-1 defeat to k*llie in March 2022. Last match we won when he refereed was a 4-1 win away to Arbroath in November 2017.
