  1. Was a decent enough finale. The series probably peaked with the car wash c**t finale in series 4 but still stayed to a good standard, with other highlights. Gone back to the start now as I’m listening to the podcast with Jeff and susie going through the early episodes.
  2. Really dull draw to the neutral imo. Brazil’s group almost identical to 2018 as is France’s. Germany Spain a standout. No obvious group of death although that never looked too likely.
  3. Some hyperbole there in describing two penalty losses.
  4. I broadly agree with you but hosts are always a top seed, Japan, South Korea and South Africa included. wether they should be hosting the wc is another debate. Italy only have themselves to blame anyway. It’ll be easier to qualify next time if the bloated 48 team wc goes ahead.
  5. Wales in the hat, and favourites to emerge surely, shame it will be pot 4 but I don’t think they will complain after this long. Work to do still but they can begin to get excited about the draw, as can Scotland of course.
  6. Hasn’t that ridge guy got form for this?
  7. Just seen the clips of mff and punks entrance, love it when a crowd has flipped.
  8. Wales ‘fan’ here. Delighted with that, still a lot of work to do. Would like Scotland to qualify too, so I hope they make it if Wales don’t rather than ukraine or Austria.
  9. Listeners to something to wrestle with for the first time in years, used to love it but it’s unlistenable now due to the sheer amount of adverts. I do find that the sheer volume and length of episodes makes it quite repetitive as well.
  10. I’ve been getting £25 although irrelevant as I never ever win in this
  11. Long time since I’ve been In here. Have got a tiny amount on compared to usual tournaments more just for entertainment than expectation. I think Holland are a good back to lay as could get a decent route to semi however I’ve had my Betfair closed the other day due to self excluding from paddy power in 2012 and those two companies joint up a few years ago. Depay as a value top scorer due to pish group also seems decent. Ladbrokes free fiver for having ten pound on winner means I’ve just got 6/1 for France too. edit I wouldn’t be backing England due to likely hard last 16 game, plus dodgy goalkeeper and defence. Don’t see the hype about Italy either and cool on Spain too.
  12. Enjoyed the baggio film, great attention to detail on the kits. I thought the friends reunion was going to be a new episode, probably best they’ve went down this route, shame about corden.
  13. has anyone who applied through Uefa for Scotland Czech Republic had a confirmation email yet? thanks
  14. I thought it was too knowing as well and lost interest early on.
  15. Mine were cancelled too under my mates account. Anxious wait for England Czech now. Gave up other two hampden ones already which I sort of regret as it would have increased chances of at least getting to one
  16. Thanks. Mine saying allocated but not getting hopes up yet.
  17. Ditto but when I go to matches it shows as my match for the one in question. Still shows that for bilbao as well though which will definitely be refunded.
  18. I’m just getting to access code and can’t get beyond that?
  19. Rammstein - Newcastle arena 2012, unbelievable show which made me more of a serous fan Rocket from the crypt - cluny 2017/18 amazing to see one of my favourite bands in such a small venue manic street preachers - Newcastle city hall 1996. First of seven times I’ve seen them and first proper Gig I went to, was a real eye opener seeing so many richey lookalikes etc weezer - Melbourne 2013 played the blue album in full, amazing. rancid - Newcastle academy seen these a few times here and also in Chicago.
  20. Only knew a few inxs songs but mystify about Michael hutchence is absolutely amazing and pretty emotional. There’s a bit where you can literally see his heart break, Ralph wiggum style, and it will ensure you will dislike Noel Gallagher even if for some reason you didn’t previously. westway to the world about the clash is another good one from the top of my head.
  21. Not sure if this is ever been done but top five bands or artists you associate with football. 5) oasis. Pretty obvious one to start with but oasis were ubiquitous in the 90s and were always outspoken in their support of Man City even when they were shite. Iconic gigs at Maine road then the Etihad and the famous picture of Noel and Liam in the old umbro shirt. Pretty green later did a range with umbro and oasis music being a match day mainstay ensures they are on the list. 4) kasabian. Not a band I’ve ever really been bothered about but their hit fire was all over the Australian coverage of the premier league when I lived their and often played for a loop for all of half time in the pub. Again well known fans of local side Leicester and charity match stalwarts. Club foot opened pro evo back in the day when it was undisputed king too. 3) madness. Maybe it’s due to my age but I’ll always associate their music with going to the match, Suggs is a big Chelsea fan and wrote their cup final song in 97 I believe. Embarrassment is an underrated song from an underrated band and will always be associated with sunderlands 2003 relegation for me, not the tale of interracial pregnancy it depicts. 2) new order. Not football fans from what I gather but writers of arguably the most famous and best football song in world in motion. The England 1990 third shirt is one of the most iconic ever produced mainly due to Bernie sumner wearing it in the video rather than it’s one appearance in a scrappy 1-0 win over turkey in izmir. True faith is another match day anthem and regret was used as the metro fm jingle from early 90s Newcastle games which I’d listen to whenever I wasn’t at st James’ park. 1) the jam. Absolutely no idea if any of the Woking band liked football but a town called malice, whilst overplayed, will always bring back happy memory of pre match boozers for me. That’s entertainment, later covered well by morrissey, was played over a sky montage after a 3-1 win at boundary park that coincided with Newcastle picking up the entertainers nickname in the early 90s. Beat surrender, going underground and down in the tube station at midnight are all regulars in certain bars I’d choose to frequent pre match. honourable mentions for the lightning seeds, the farm, stiff little fingers, the specials and the ramones. let me know yours.
