    Not quite. A point would put us on 16, so if we lose our last two games and Norway win all their other games then they can also finish on 16.

    We could probably keep this thread alive til next month. Beat Spain in October and we qualify, but if we don't win then Norway v Spain on 15th October is the main match. We qualify if Spain win or draw. If Norway win then we then would need to get 2 points from the final two matches.

    We're in a better place now but there are shades of EURO 92 qualifying here as we needed Bulgaria and Romania to draw on the very last qualifying match in order for us to get to Sweden. At least this time I don't have to follow the results via Ceefax.

    Starting XI of that friendly was: McGregor Whittaker Bardsley Berra G. Caldwell Cowie D. Fletcher Morrison Miller Mackie Robson There may well have been a few call offs seeing as it was a friendly, but our current starting 11 is much better than that team. And we don't have to put up with with Levine as manager.

    Let's be honest, when Scott Gemmill is the manager of the Under-21s I'm just surprised there hasn't been more mass withdrawals from the squad.

    Don't know enough about their womens team to say how good they are. I do know they are ranked higher than PAOK and Ferencvaros so will likely be a tough test to qualify.
