  1. Statistically there's very little between these two sides tomorrow. Dunipace have scored exactly 100% more league goals than Dunbar. On the other side of that coin, Dunipace have conceeded 50% more league goals than Dunbar. Both teams have only had a single league defeat so far this season. Far too tight to predict an outcome. Hope its a great game.
  2. Exactly, and very probably the same objectives as around 50% of most other clubs. Three home games, all potentially winnable and all potentially 6 pointers. Cleary it would be foolish to predict anything.
  3. Personally, Id say that DUFC played ok - Linlithgow didnt look superior in any sense at all. DUFC went 1:0 down to a late first half undisputed penalty. DUFC had a few openings during that half.In the second they fell futher behind to a fairly quick goal. Did DUFC desrve to 2:0 down at that point? Obviously the heads went down for 10 minutes or so, But no way did Linlithgow either raise their game or look superior. as for the final 20 minutes - thats now written into history. Deservedly so. What this game demonstrafted is that this is a very competitive league. Theres nothing really between most of the clubs. I dont see any regular 5:0 or 6:0 scores coming in. I think that any team playing to their full ability on the day is more than match for either of the top 3. None of hem are superstars, all have weakness that can be exploited, and they know it. Maybe its worth refreshing your memory that the score on the abandoned fixture was 2:1 to DUFC until it was stopped around 43 minutes. I think credit where its due. I'd also say that the bench mark club is Sauchie. They are capable of much more progress in this league. They can match anyone, however Blackburn too their points this weekend.
  4. Newtongrange Star Well, what a funny old game fitba really is. Saturday became an historic day in the history of DUFC. A win in Newtongrange… an almost unheard of statement. A very competent performance by the DUNBAR players. A result of 4:1 says it all. A victory at New Victoria Park.
  5. Saturday 13 Nov. Today its New Victoria Park and a chance to reverse previous results vs Newtongrange Star. DUFC performed well in the narrow midweek defeat to the league leaders - Penicuik Athletic. Today has the makings of a very tense match ...... it could come down to simple mistake deciding where the points go today. Good luck guys
  6. Whats it got to do with Church of Scotland ministers x1?? The ones that I know have more rounded characters than a lot of contributors on here. Cant comment on Trappist Monks, but they've certainly got a long history.
  7. A very close game. Good to see the league leaders in a match. Was there very much between the two sides?
  8. LTHV 2:1 DUFC Certainly not the result that they majority of supporters in the ground were wanting. However DUFC tried their best under the circumstances. A little disappointing but thats the game. one minute you are up, the next your'e down. Hope LTHV enjoy the next round as one of the representatives of the EOS Premier League.
  9. If anyone hasn't seen photos of the Team bus to Ainsley Park - go and check out the images on the club facebook page. Well done EVE COACHES. Also worth checking out the supporters bus. Both are very special.
  10. I think Mikey McFarlane is outstanding most weeks.
  11. 4 correct numbers could have earned you £2880 on the DUFC lottery this week....
  12. and your forecast for potential 5th team dropping is?
  13. My personal view is that there will be huge interest in the 50% of clubs in the lower half of the league until the final games of the season. I agree that its going to become a very nervy time for a lot of clubs and officials and of course the supporters.
  14. And a great initiative to provide a supporters bus to the replay at AINSLIE PARK. Details on the club web site or FB pages.
  15. Great occasion at NCP yesterday. Huge attendance, every available bit of barrier was taken, 2 deep in most of the ground. Two nervy teams - I'm sure both can play a fair bit better. Dunbar hitting the crossbar twice, once from the spot. These Scottish Cup matches certainly get the interest.
  16. The manager clearly has options to change his setups. Ben Bathgate is also starting to make progress and appears to have recovered from that early season foot injury. The cup game is brilliant, but the following back to back games vs Dundonald will go a very long way to set the direction that the team are taking. Dundonald Hmmm,, I remember the stooshie that they raised last year regarding EoS policy proposals.
  17. DEAN WHITSON That is a very remarkable signing. A little bit unexpected to say the least. Promising times ahead?
  18. An enjoyable match played on a wet surface, with a decent crowd - taking into account the prematch conditions. It was very good to see the Belters in action for the first time this season. They fielded a strong lineup - actually any Tranent lineup will be a stong team.! However Kevins selection produced a display that was equal to the task. The first half had near things at each end. The second TJFC goal was a wee bit unlucky on the Dunbar defence - Mikey McFarane just had too much momentum on the wet surface and the reslut was an OG that gave Daniel little chance of stopping it. These things happen ,,,,,, However another equaliser brought Dubar back into it. Close to the final whistle Fraser McLaren chased and caught out the TJFC defence, Almost the entire stadium rose as one to cheer the anticipated winner,,,,,, sadly it didnt happen. Could Dunbar have taken 3 pints - clearly the statement above says so. Could TJFC have felt hard done by,,,, in my opinion no. Either team could have taken the 3 points. All I'm saying is - to me there didnt seem to be a huge difference between the teams. In fact Dunbar has played much better teams than yesterdays TJFC. No doubt TJFC will be disappointed - they are the form team of the season, and it'll be a different match at Forrester Park later in the season. What a pity the weather ruled out Tuesdays match vs Penicuik - I'm sure Dunbar could also have taken something from that game. A lot of good performers from Dunbar yesterday....MoTM must have have been a difficult choice but it was given to Daniel. A decent attendance had lots to keep them occupied. Last weeks result at Crossgates was a sore one to take, yesterday the team responded very well. If that was a normal level of performance from TJFC, then as many folks say - this league is very tight. Personally, I've seen DUFC play better and get nothing. funny old game,,,
  19. I'm unclear on the actual relegation numbers. I'm sure someone has the answer for the following scenario; For arguments sake lets say PENICUIK win the EoS Premier. Vale of Leithen and Edinburgh Uni are the relegated clubs from the LL. If Penicuik were to be unsuccessful in the round robin play off vs the Wosfl/Sosfl would that become the doomsday scenario whereby 6 clubs are then relegated from the EoS premier?
  20. Don't know what you mean or infer 'Dunbar for example despite all the stuff in pre-season' and I know that you don't know,
  21. That's obviously a predictive text spelling of either a muslim sect or TtB trying evade the rules of the game
