Well the Annan game clearly only papered over the cracks, and I hope the people confidently saying there was absolutely no pressure on SP are reconsidering after that spiritless performance. From the off we didn’t have the work rate required against a FT team. Squad looks paper thin not just in midfield but at the back now with no natural defenders on the bench today. I’m not convinced by Cammy Gill, superb shot stopper but my god he is shit with his feet. Dillo clearly does not have the pace to compete and the less said about Aidan Quinn the better… Terry didn’t affect the game and both Thomson and Batchelor looked way out of their depth. Thought Midge had a good game and MacAllister huffed and puffed but there was no service for him today. Machado best player for me today as he tried to drive the team forward.

Bit of a coup really for you, that increases your chance of survival dramatically. He’s a natural finisher but will do the dirty work as well.

I agree with that but the goals that he does score are really valuable but I think the buck stops with SP again. We bring in Kane to supplement him but then play him on the bloody wing. Also the fact that Rory is a massive character may be a problem, I think that has a part to do with Batchelor being stripped for 10 mins standing on the sideline ready to go on only to be sent up into the stands to avoid a temper tantrum from Rory. I think the fact that we still have Dillon, Masson, Watson, and Gardyne (combined age 149) is the main problem and that they are all starting on opening day! I think we all agree that Craig Brown is a bang on starter and is a tidy cm but I think if we could convert Blair into a cm we could have that creative cm we are lacking.

I was also disappointed with the management team, they got Batchelor all stripped and ready to come on had him waiting for 10 minutes and then decided to send him back to the stand. Awful man management. Also thought the whole team’s attitude was honking no desire to put the work in, especially disappointed with Kane he couldn’t be arsed.

Tower has been shit he looks awfully raw, wasn’t expecting that with someone who has been on numerous SPFL loans and involved in the Aberdeen 1st team over the pre-season. But there’s a player in there and hopefully with some coaching he can aid the slowing Dillon in defence, I think it could be quite a good partnership them two.
