  1. It was a very indifferent display from both teams and not the reaction I was looking for following Tuesday. I thought starting Batchelor was bemusing but to be fair to him he did much more than Kane who just sulked. Hopefully Cammy isn’t out for long if we are going to have any chance of making playoffs. IMO we need to make a couple of signings in every department if we want to properly have a hack at the league next year.

  2. Our startling lack of pace was exposed brutally today, especially with the centre back pairing of Quinn and Dillon we didn’t stand a chance. Personally I’m not convinced with Gill, there’s been a couple of goals past few weeks he could’ve done much better on so hopefully we bring in another gk this summer to make that position more competitive again. I think we need a CB that has a bit of pace for these type of games so we don’t just fold and obviously a new CM is needed.

the loan window is open until the end of February.

I don't think getting Miller back would be out of the question, he hasn't featured in the Dundee United squads since returning to them.  I guess in any loan deal it'll all depend on how much of a wage contribution we are expected to make

When he went back he was injured, so I think that explains his absence from match day squads or him not being loaned out yet but my feeling is that we are not going to bring anybody in until the summer.

How's Graham getting on with you? He got a chance of making it with us?

He’s been getting on really well and really starting to learn his craft under Dillon’s stewardship. Possibly the main thing for him to work on is his distribution but otherwise he is a solid defender who should have a fair crack at Dundee I think

  5. I thought with the XI we managed to put out we did reasonably well. I think only conceding one with a 40 year old CB is good work! Hermiston impressed more than competing with their centre back paring in the air, remember he’s only 17 and I am sure we will keep him around the squad. Stirling’s red card was a stonewaller and I hope the grown Stirling fans are proud of themselves for the torrent of abuse they gave Craig (who’s only 16).

We move on from tonight thought we had a chance in the first half but just wasn't to be and Accies more clinical than us.

Terry Masson out for 6-9 months with an ACL injury is a big blow,we miss him in the middle of the park and crunching into tackles. We have plenty of creative midfielder player's but nobody now that Terry is out that can do the dirty work which is concerning for me.

Also thought tonight we really miss some extra help for Kane up top,as much as Batchelor needs time to get used to L1 football we need more options a loan or something like that.Kane runs his arse off all night but I don't think we have anyone else to really trouble the defenders once he does goes off.

I looked at our bench last night and I thought there was no one that could win the game coming off the bench and that proved correct. It makes the decision to let CJ go even more bemusing. All in all we more than matched them in the 1st half but they went up a gear in the 2nd half and that was the difference between the teams.

  7. I’m pretty confident for this one, the squad is a lot more settled now and Kerr coming back from injury is a big boost. Also I’ve seen some Falkirk fans make some pretty negative comments about Ryan Williamson. I agree he doesn’t look the best on the ball but otherwise he has been superb for us so far!

Amazingly, we could be up to third in the league if we win tomorrow. After our first few games this season, I was convinced that we would be in a relegation battle. However, recent results and performances have me slightly more optimistic.

I assume that SP will start with the same team that started last week and they can put in the same level of performance. Youth and speed up front with Gardyne pulling the strings.

I'll go for a nervy 2-1 home win and an unexpected third spot in the league.

I thought Gardyne playing a bit deeper worked a treat because it’s clear his ability to spray the ball around the pitch is immense.

  9. How was the Mo performance? I think Rory leaving may be a blessing in disguise as it allows us to go back to a much more familiar shape with much more width as we were practically forced to play two up top with Kane and Rory to keep them happy.

Not really bothered about him leaving, especially if we’re getting some money out of it. I think our squad is best suited to playing 1 up top now anyway and it removes the problem of which of the 2 of him and Hester to play.

Probably allows us to get the ball out to the wings more which is an area of the quad we are particularly strong in. Hopefully reinforcements in midfield and maybe a centre back🤞
