  1. Should change their name to BellendoftheYear. My god, support your team or just bugger off.
  2. Sometimes I actually think is there any point to Falkirk FC bothering to exist when I read this post! The insinuation I assume is that the guys sitting in the Directors Box were there on a jolly courtesy of the current Directors? By all means have a go when it is justified, but for the love of God, get your facts right before you spout what is, in essence, absolute garbage. FYI the 6 people have all paid £1,450 a head which equates to £8,700 to join The Premier Club and in some cases have also purchased their seats in the main stand to HELP the football club as it needs every penny it can possibly get. Incidentally, not all of them are Patrons which seems to be a bit of a bug bear at the moment with some posters on here. Tell you what, pop up before the Peterhead game a week on Saturday and we can happily have a chat and I will bring you as a guest to the next home game after that one and I will pay the £80.00 cost for you to come which again will help our club. We have just finished top of our League Cup Section and have a new management team in place which has given everyone confidence going into the new season. Can you and a number of others on here not just focus on the positives rather than constantly looking at things which, quite frankly don't really matter? We are all supposed to be in this together for the love of OUR club for goodness sake.
  3. Hi, I was one of the 11 and trust me, this was about helping to drive the football club forward. We were absolutely committed to working with The Rawlins, but with an investment of this size and I strongly believe we would have got more people on board (including a fans initiative), there had to be change. I would ask anyone who was looking to put in an investment of circa £550k plus, would you want a major say in the running of the club? I think we all know the answer. Now, if I had the good of OUR football club at heart and was a Board member and this offer came along, I would have opened the Boardroom door, welcomed the group inside and wished them the very best of luck as I passed them on the way out. What Mr Colborn said on Thursday that it wasn’t in the Director’s remit (or words to that effect), doesn’t wash, an EGM could have been called and it would have flown through. This is every Falkirk supporters club and a big part of our town and community also. From the family buying their season tickets and strips and the people who can afford to buy shares etc it is everyone’s club as an equal. The Directors are there for the good of the club and have to ensure that they park their personalities and do the right thing. I sincerely hope that better times are just around the corner as we are in intensive care and need to get back on our feet and quickly. I for one wish Phil Rawlins the very best of luck.
  4. Holt is heavily involved in what is happening with the first team just now and has been for weeks, that is fact and since he’s come in it’s got worse and created total confusion. A “Sporting Director” in the third division, give me a flippin break. Our management and back room staff salaries are probably not far short of Peterhead’s playing budget. Tonight is a watershed for me, they deserved their win and this cannot continue. We have a Chairman who is all buzz words and strategies, it’s total management consultant bollocks. Right now it needs REAL Falkirk fans who have the passion and genuinely care to roll their sleeves up and work with the Rawlins to get this car crash sorted.
  5. You got that 100% accurate. Sometimes faces don’t fit, that’s the only explanation I can give. Perhaps we would have rocked the boat a bit, but for all the right reasons. We have a Liddell cohort appointed Chairman who had, what can only be described as an Apprenticeship type Audition to choose new board members a year or so ago. I could have hand picked them myself in two minutes that night. With regards to the Academy structure, there were local guys with a good pedigree in coaching and scouting prepared to work for next to nothing. My concern is IF Holt and the guy Fergus don’t hang around and with their track record, who knows, that may be the case then it could create issues moving forward. They should have gone with the local guys that were really keen for three reasons. 1. They wouldn’t have jumped ship after two minutes and would have been in it for the long haul which gives you the continuity it requires. 2. They were local, Falkirk guys who genuinely did care. 3. It would have saved you circa £45k!
  6. Tell them to shove it where the sun don’t shine, approach Morrison’s at Brockville where he used to grace the hallowed turf and fire a statue at where the Hope Street End used to be or thereabouts. Has always been the same and won’t change, they have a serious habit of making simple things extremely difficult. It’s all about control and power.
  7. Liverpool were winning League’s and European Cups playing 55 plus games with 14 players ffs. We hadn’t played in two and a half months and are “resting” players. Give me a break. Our ahem, Sporting Director must be going along with it too. As I stated earlier, they are on a combined £145k plus package. You can’t get in our dugout for backroom staff. We got to a Cup Final with Alex Totten, Walter Kidd and the physio Bob McCallum in it, that was your lot. We have a Chairman (another MSG appointee) who runs around like Lord Brockville who would have needed a map and a compass to find Parkhead last night. Martin Ritchie has been around 23-years and still a major influence, everything has a shelf life, do the decent thing and sell at least the majority of your shares and let’s see where the Rawlins take us. Personally I’m sick of it.
  8. Anyone with any say in the running of our club who is prepared to sit back and think that a showing like that tonight was acceptable as a Football Club should walk straight out the front door never to return. I’m not expecting to win, but for gods sake, at least try and have a go. We, as supporters are paying good money and the least we expect is to see our team try and entertain. We are paying circa £140k to a management team including Holt and we can’t even muster one shot at goal, it’s embarrassing. I bet there are certain people sitting in their wee ivory tower tonight thinking that was acceptable. Well, it’s not. We have a team that have hardly played and you have a duty to play your strongest 11 every game, the more they play together, the better understanding they have and all that. There is an acceptance that it is ok for our club, same after the Rangers Reserves league cup defeat to turn up and get turned over. Well it flippin well isn’t in my book. If that is your mindset, that’s what you will get served up and we will tread water for evermore. It’s defeatist and quite frankly, unacceptable.
  9. My understanding is that it is the shares that the club bought back from Miller, Liddell and Healey that are being offered. Personally speaking, it’s time for Martin and Sandy to step aside and let’s have a new dawn and a complete freshness. They have been around for 23 years and had their time. It’s like some guy hanging around an ex-girlfriend who doesn’t want anything to do with them anymore. I would take Gary Deans with them too, as he was installed by the previous MSG and have a Rawlins appointee also. Fresh investment, in tandem with Rawlins purchase from other, local people and a greater fan input too. The feedback from people who know of Phil Rawlins is super positive and both him and Carrie deserve our support 100%. Our club doesn’t need a spring clean, it needs a gutting from top to bottom and a complete new broom.
