  1. Herring will be good, sounds like he's been sold a pup on the guests tho........... Without being unkind, I kinda think Suzi M is kicking the erse out of everything just now (tv, podcasts etc ) as her "sheen" will soon rub off. Hope you have a good one tho !
  2. Wales are the fucking media darlings just now. I listen to 6 music and can barely turn it on these days without some leek munching sheep shagger presenting a show and introducing some obscure shite band "from my home town" singing in a language 99% of the audience don't understand. Good to see them getting rammed tonight. Fuds.
  3. Yes, but the Euros will miss their beautiful singing voices and jolly bucket hats.
  4. I am slightly taller and 93kg. My average rhr over the last year (as measured by the Garmin watch) is 58bpm, and is occasionally in the low 50s. It gets higher if I am at altitude (Alps) or suffering from a virus (or hangover !). I have always had decent aerobic from cycling, and even though I havent done that much over the last 6 years my heart remains in good condition..................just wish I could say the same about my knackered hips. I dont think you have anything really to worry about.
  5. This is an important point. Lots written about inheritance focuses on the tax free allowance, and married allowances taking it up to several hundred thousand - but most people get left nothing like this. I support a tax on the very wealthiest, but not if it is a blunt instrument that also impacts (in a potentially more damaging way) those at the other end of the financial spectrum. Taxing a poorer person who is left £10k at 100% is pretty unfair when Lord Cholmondly Warner will pay an accountant to make sure his chinless offspring get "what they are due" out of his £millions. The rich will always find a way to hide their money from the taxman.
  6. Not sure what point you are making. The reason that International football manager works for him is that he doesnt have to do the living in a hotel / club house thing that a lot of managers on the club merry go round do. His missus is from here, he likes that he is based here and doesnt have to drag himself all over the country for jobs that may or may not last more than 6 months. I dont think that criteria limits your choices much, as many coaches are relaxed about that life. But I dont think he is (or has been). Aberdeen, of course, is far closer than some gig in a midlands shithole down south, so may still be attractive?
  7. Yep. That also had the result of diluting (if thats the word) all shareholders %age of ownership (v previously). Which is why HSL were mimpy about it as their raison detre is to get more shares (which they couldnt do anyway as the Gordons wouldnt sell them any more) and their shareholding has been effectively reduced (although the value remains basically as it was) All other shareholders voted for it, and anyone who had an understanding of the ins and outs of it saw it as a good deal.
  8. Giggs brother pumped a girl I used to work with while he was either married or in a relationship with another girl. No sure if its genetic, but the Giggs lads were certainly up to all sorts.
  9. The Gordon family were owed a 7 figure sum (stadium upgrades, the money spent on hospitality etc) and that has been wiped out and converted to equity in this move. This doesnt give them more value, as their percentage ownership in the club has concurrently been diluted by the new shares. The entirety of that £6m is available to the club now, and not one cent of that goes to "line the owners pockets". Thanks for the financial lesson though.........................
  10. This part caught my eye - "Going on sale on 21 March, the "authentic" version is priced at £124.99 for adults and £119.99 for children, while a "stadium" version costs £84.99 and £64.99 for children" Clucking Bell............................ !
  11. Was the question "where do the wimmin have copious armpit hair AND unwaxed fannies"?
  12. Probably nothing, as you say it's on the clubs. But as the SFA are having a review, Motherwell email may be helpful. Then again, it's Scottish football, so maybe not.
  13. Cheers. I liked the idea of the bacteria based moss killer as they effectively eat the moss and dont leave black patches.........however it says it only works in temperatures above 15c , no much use in "Spring" in Scotland then !
  14. The amount of moss on my grass this year is an absolute joke. Front has never been great, but the back this spring is awful. First cut of the year a few days ago and it must be 50% moss......... My mum (down at Porty) also has a lot more this year. Wonder if this is because theres been more rain or something? Cant think of anything specific that either of us have done to our grass that would make it more mossy. Any ideas from P&B? Will it improve with more sun?
  15. Good on Motherwell, a very decent letter. Will be instructive to see what the SFA actually do or say about this - probably dock Well 6 points for being lippy.
  16. Picked one of these up on Gumtree the other week. Barely used and was £140. My son has one, so I know its decent. Was starting to get fucked off with individual pedals so this works for me. No interested in their prestored patches, I have just dialed in my own preferences for the preamp/compressor/od/rev/delay and pick and choose depending on what I am doing.
  17. I have to say I didnt know you could appeal a yellow card. Dismissed tho........... https://www.skysports.com/football/video/36620/13098248/hearts-appeal-over-lawrence-shankland-booking-dive-dismissed-at-sfa-hearing
  18. Maybe less so the cars, but the fully electric buses are incredibly heavy - as you may have noticed with the newer Edinburgh ones, they are longer (not necessarily to take more passengers, but in order to accomodate the batteries). This extra weight and length means they need an extra axle as well. That Cameron Toll ones a total mare (not a road issue so nobodys to blame, the culvert for the Pow Burn collapsed). One of Mrs LG friends lives in Prestonfield and they were told by plod (on the QT) that the bus gate camera had been shut off temporarily at the start of the works. However, she doesnt know if it is now back on, and its a £60 fine if you get captured...............................
  19. Probably Fife, going by those oddly flat alien craft flying above those turbines....................
