Bair wasn't very good before St. J either and they gave him a year to prove himself, and he didn't. We've been able to give Bair minutes he wouldn't have gotten otherwise due to injuries and shiteness, and he's benefitted from it.

I love KVV, but prime moult wins for me all day long if comparing the two. His goals in big games and overall attitude edge him ahead. Neither of them get past TC for me though. I'd have the current day version of both in the team right now though. Probably today's TC too.

There isn't much footage available for the two fullbacks, so it will he interesting to get a first look at them. I would assume that we'll start tomorrow pretty much the same as last week. I'd be surprised if any of the new guys started.

It's lot of the same people on both sites. SO is nowhere near as bad as its made out, but it's definitely more in the glass half empty side of things, and a few folk that wont deviate from their schtick, but both have their place. I like it because I can mention other teams without invoking their reply guys (resident killie poster aside), and I'm also one of the day one guys, so it would be weird to leave.

Yeah, the solidarity payment is separate from the whole sell on clause thing, which is usually tied more to profit, with the solidarity payment being based on any fee. I'm in agreement with Jay that we did the right thing with KVV. We're almost at a point where we have a clean slate after a couple of years of poor decisions, so blowing up out budget because of sentimentality is a bad idea. If Hibs did gazump us for a striker, then it looks like we had our hopes pinned on another babysitting project. He might end up being class, but we let sunderland drag us until the last 20 minutes of the window and mess us around rather than moving on to fill a key spot in our team.

As others have said, I'm happy with the incomings, but not shoring up the forwards is piss poor. I'm not buying any hard luck stories either, this is an issue of competence, and we fucked it.
