  1. A real lack of respect there This was very well put together, these are always pretty cool.
  2. I love the line about respect in there. It's definitely a one way thing when it comes to the old firm. It's nice to know that the likes of helicopter Sunday and the playoffs will endure in the minds of OF fans and keep their piss at a steady boil.
  3. I don't want anything to do with the relegation fight, and do want us to get as much money as possible, so top 6 for me. We play against the teams we're competing with for that spot, so as tricky as it will be, it's pretty much in our own hands.
  4. If that Dan Casey challenge is what the rangers fans are going to hang their hat on (no doubt with a bunch of out of context still images) then that's just a shame. Absolutely nothing in it, just like the penalty. Was Bair booked for being too big? Goodson bouncing off him and greeting about it was funny. Same with the fanny that SOD jedi waved to the ground. Desperate stuff. Thought we managed our subs well for once, with Nicholson doing a good job of keeping the ball, and halliday offering some composure and experience.
  5. Get it right fucking round them. How do I listen to the phone in from here?
  6. Absolute fucking joke of a decision, but that's what var is for. It took them 5+ minutes to get to the decision they wanted.
  7. Casey is taking this whole free hit thing a bit too literally. Been fun though. Vale is a real pest, and with spittal and Bair we will have a few more chances on the counter attack, but we definitely are not going to keep a clean sheet, they're getting through with vanilla balls over the top, and at some point they aren't going to pass it straight to kelly.
  8. 2m a year over 6 years would sound more realistic, but it's not the champions league winning money I was hoping for.
  9. I agree that for these kind of things 36% isn't bad at all and, to be fair, I think that it would have been more problematic should the vote have gone the other way. I.e. that would have redlined us losing our majority, whereas right now all that's happened is we've said we're kind of up for anything, but we're still going to vote when something actually happens.
  10. That seems far fetched, especially considering that there would have been plenty of media folk at tynecastle to catch that.
  11. Regarding retaining players, I agree with the earlier posters that individually, I'd be happy to keep most of our out of contract guys, but the thought of keeping them all (bar Spittal, who we have no chance of keeping) scares me. Bevis is a typical scottish premier league central defender. Generally fine, has some clangers every now and then, but has enough standout performances to get the "that boy at motherwell" treatment from the OF wanks.
  12. That's actually more reassuring to me than the vote, tbh
  13. Pretty surprised at that. I know it was at this point a hypothetical question, but that must be gutting for the revitalized society board. I hope the yes's know the ceiling of that decision, and the floor.
  14. After a win? I'll happily listen to the 10 for the price of 1 word fest.
  15. We were the better team for the whole match, but conceded the dumbass type of goal we have done all season, which has undermined some very good attacking play. I thought, especially in the second half, that we moved the ball well and quickly, and out fought them. Well deserved win at a difficult venue. @thisGRAEMEthat aberdeen summary was spot on, jeez-o.
  16. As per the latest WS email, you can put yourself forward to join one of the workstreams. This is how we're going to make pakora happen.
  17. So, total pussies on the pitch, but double hard nasty b*****ds in training. Or are we training in the actual thunderdome?
  18. Yep, all good info. I'm going to go to one of the sessions, it will be weird giving opinions without editing them a few times first.
  19. Rearranging our whole back line to accommodate Butcher was a dumb move. If Casey was hurt we should have brought Blaney on.
  20. My wife is the tennesseean, I'm just here for the banter and gun violence. Although, the last time I bought motherwell tickets online was the Nancy game, and they gave me seats for a row that didn't exist. None of the IT things I mentioned are groundbreaking, so there's probably a vendor that could provide what we need. Then I can come work for them and only have to worry about getting stabbed.
  21. My free list of ideas: - call to donate/increase email about 1 hour after any win, or spirited draw. The key is that it has to be about 2 pints post-game. - loyalty card with food and merch discounts. Maybe a minimum active donation needed. - tie in with local businesses along with the above. - donation call to action every time the papers say someone is signing a pca elsewhere. - donation blitz on December 31st for the January war chest. - an app for info, making donations, and buying shit, - ability to see cumulative contributions, with some token gifts for tiers of donation. - bring the horse back and sell goes on it - Qr codes to buy tickets at games - season tickets prices with/without Society membership - have a podcast again, WS branded - Find ways to make non members feel like dicks - some sort of welcome thing for fans that come to their first game, to get them to join. - draws for end of season stuff for active members. - WS should publicly back the pakora/paneer campaign. Wrote these while i was wating at Starbucks, and the line wasn't that bad. Imagine the ideas you'd get if you paid me.
  22. As per @Handsome Devilwhat level of investment would get us to the "next level" which I assume is the same level as Aberdeen, hearts, and hibs? All three pay wages that are multiples of ours, and fan bases just as big, so my guess is that amount isn't happening. Then, even with the money and fan base those clubs have, at least one of them is dug meat each year, and only Aberdeen haven't been relegated, so nothing is guaranteed. The reality is that we are looking for money to keep us where we are in preparation for our turn at the rotation that killie and st Mirren have now (and we had before that). I personally don't have a redline when it comes to WS losing their majority, but the proposal that would lead to that would have to be crazy. As such, I hope some folk aren't wishing our control away for the sake of us keeping Blair spittal.
  23. Or, maybe we could have a motto that encapsulates our tendency to never give in?
