  1. While it was good to hear Kettlewell praise us and show us proper respect (he seems loke a very likable and decent bloke by the way), it also means that he'll make sure his team don't underestimate us and think they only have to turn up. He'll have them well prepared for a tough game, I'm sure.
  2. Just on the point that the capacity has been so drastically reduced for safety reasons.... if the home allocation gets sold old and fans resort to buying tickets in the away end, that in itself could be result in a safety issue.
  3. Nah, sorry. Until a few hours ago the fact there was a reduced capacity and there was a real prospect of the home ticket allocation being sold out, was never mentioned. With the home capacity reduced to only 3.700 they should have been well aware days ago that there was a risk of it being a sell-out. The fact that only 800 had been sold by Tuesday or whatever is irrelevant - they should have known and anticipated that a large proportion of the home fans, probably even the majority, would have purchased their ticket on the day or the day before. It's pish poor, and if anyone misses the game because of this, then it will be a crying shame.
  4. Disagree. The capacity restrictions should have been announced days ago, not a few hours before KO
  5. I don't think the turnstiles in the WDE are electronic, are they?
  6. That's only half of it! He also claimed he got a trial for Den Haag at the age of 37, after impressing their boss in a Works league match.
  7. We're really not, you're overlooking the obvious that they're playing at a significantly higher level than us. We're in with a great shout for sure, but labelling us as favourites is foolhardy.
  8. Yup, fair play to him, showing some humility and respect that some Championship managers could do well to learn from
  9. Funnily enough, that thought crossed my mind today as well, and it would be classic Morton to bottle it in front of the biggest home crowd for years. I really can't see that happening though with the current team and form. Here's hoping anyway.
  10. The clubs social media output hyping up the game has been excellent
  11. Wow, it's almost as if Greenock doesn't really have a sub-tropical microclimate after all
  12. I wouldn't worry about that too much, Greenock has its own sub-tropical micro climate
  13. There's also the car park in Sinclair Street, although you might need to get early for a spot if there going to be the predicted crowd
  14. I would say for the majority of Ton fans it's more cautious optimism than confidence. I'm sure most are well aware that while we're on a fantastic run, none of the teams we've played in that run have been at this level*. I hope and think it will be a cracking game, but I'll be surprised if there was more than one goal in it, either way. * Edit to add: with the arguable exception of Dundee United
