  1. It's a sad time when supporters from same club seem to turn on each other. Seems to me the people who cant see others point on this site have a real issue. The spite and nastiness is totally uncalled for. Would hope the admins on this site would have a look at this and decide if this is appropriate behaviour for a fans site. For me it's time to leave, had hoped to be able to discuss football related topics, without a bully boy attitude .
  2. So why would this be a problem for the club to encourage us to bring someone to watch the Rovers who wouldn't normally come. The problem with what I as a pensioner pays for a season ticket doesn't matter. I am trying to encourage someone to come and watch the Rovers and bring a small ammount of revenue in.
  3. Think myself and quite a number of older supporters didn't pick up on this at the time. If it had been said concessions weren't to be included in any deals most of us would have known what was meant. As I have said if Rovers feel they can do without the revenue many of the older supporters provide , just let us know at the start of season and we can decide where to invest our money.
  4. Again doesn't affect me in any way whatsoever only more loss in revenue for the Rovers. Must be rolling in money if they can throw money away.
  5. It would have been a decision I would have had to make as to whether I would have continued supporting Rovers so more revenue lost and40 years plus support gone
  6. If the club feel they dont want the extra £5 I would have paid to bring a friend who doesn't normally go to the Rovers that's fine with me it's there monetary loss. To discriminate against pensioners as seems to be suggested because they pay an agreed ammount for an adult season ticket appears to be very wrong on many fronts.
  7. I am an adult season ticket holder, why would a pensioner who has supported Rovers for over 40 years be treated any different.
  8. But it's not the person who's bought the season ticket who is benefiting. Surely if the point was to encourage more people to attend it doesn't matter as everyone who buys the 5 pound ticket gets in for a fiver.
  9. Cant quite understand the reasoning if this is the case. Surely it shouldn't matter who is buying the 5 pound ticket
  10. Is there any truth in the story that if your a concession season ticket holder you cant buy a ticket for a fiver, as is being advertised on our site
  11. My first post on this subject was to do with the loss to Morton from there it has grown arms and legs with everyone coming up with there interpretation of what we should do. For me most of our issues started before the season even started, our new manager was left to build a team with possibly too little time to do it. Doesn't matter we dont have a 20 goal a season striker, the issue is we dont score enough goals, we dont hurt teams when it matters, we dont control games at key times. Again the manager brought in a number of the players we now have in the team and the do play some pretty football. But the name of the game is scoring goals, if we cant score goals we can run all day and play as much pretty football as you like but we wont win games. Can only hope the players on the pitch start to gell a bit more as a team and get the results there play often deserves.
  12. But it seemed as if they were allowed to leave before a new manager was appointed. The Berra thing was unexpected, Mussonda, we dont know why he left but still doing a good job at this level for Ayr. Benny possibly his time had come. Knowing laing was injured I feel we created a problem of our own making. Our loan signings in defence are really good and have no real complaints, but we need to hang onto them in January. We cant rely on players who have been out long term coming straight back in and solving our problems. I think our midfield can be sorted with the right mix in the team. We all know the problems up front as do every other team, we dont score enough goals
  13. again I understand where you are coming from on this. Problem I see is that it is the job of a manager at a football club to sort out these issues. He has signed Fredriksen who seems to be his solution, we can only hope this is the case. I still feel last years team didn't need to be dismantled just so quickly before better replacements were available. We will never know why so many centre backs were allowed to leave the club and the Berra situation did not help. Hopefully we can hang onto our defensive loan players or we are pinning our Hope's on Laing hitting the ground running and staying injury free. It's no easy job a manager has but it's his to solve.
  14. As I said just my opinion, but we desperately needed the goal scoring issue sorted, it hasnt as yet been done. Defence wise we are relying on loans to plug gaps, we will possibly never know why so many central defenders were allowed to leave the club at the same time with no ready replacements in place. We do have a midfield who play the ball around well enough, but teams have no fear of our midfield, they seem to run out of steam after a period of the match. Could be Murray needs to look at his substitutions and when they have to be made. Stanton has been playing really well of late but the rest seem to be in fits and starts. Teams know they can get at us if they can hold out from our initial assualt.
