Daft question but have you checked it’s not low on oil ?

You can get company’s that can turn the airbag light off and add a resistor so it won’t come back on , I know you can pass a mot with a airbag removed and no light on the dash but Iam not 100% sure would they still pass it with the airbags deployed on a seat (could be summit to do with the structure of the seat for safety but I would only be guessing on that )if you could get it turned off I personally would stick a seat cover on the seat and risk it,if it wasn’t the drivers seat I would have stuck a child car seat on the seat as they can’t remove that for a mot not that would be much good on the drivers seat

Unless it’s a “friendly “ garage they will fail it for the that unfortunately,have you replaced the seat that has had the airbags deployed on it ?

Is the airbag light on in the dash ?

To add to @Zetterlund advice, on the vans I use a clay mitt which does save a lot of time compared to a clay bar and can be reused many times ,a fallout remover should probably be used before claying , might need to compound out any minor paint damage , will need waxed after a claying ,a cheap sealant would be summit like turtle wax seal and shine which can be sprayed on wet and used as a drying aid,quick and easy and cheap .

Actually saw there was a documentary about it when I was googling a picture of him,must have missed it when it was originally aired,will definitely seek it out to give it a watch now but.

Been watching classic coronation street recently ,randomly started on 2002 ish (Richard hillman kind of era ) and enjoying it so much more than the current episodes, also seem to be off set on different locations more often Aswell .

Sometimes it has to be done, especially if there’s no other access route ,was only pointing out it’s advisory ,as most people seem to believe it’s not advisory and actual law ,had a few arguments with people out walking or on horses over the years even after stopping well in advance to let them pass about how it’s illegal to drive down the road and there reporting me , but those times had a motor on the back of a truck and going down the only access road so not much I can do ,depends on the road also ,some are not to bad others are bad enough in a car ,also a lgv is anything over 3.5t so also depends if your driving something weighting just over that for a 40t truck

In fairness most of those signs are only advisory ,usually just need to be more careful ,give the horn a blast on dodgy corners/bends ect if using them in one ,and don’t drive like ur driving a car .

Yeh I fell for it the first time I had one and ripped it off (easy now )thinking it was just stuck .

Is that not the new style bottles that are supposed to keep the lid attached to the plastic collar to prevent littering ?

Will these big company’s never learn from past mistakes ,putting peoples lives at risk .
