We were down just after three, big enough queue then.   When we came out after the signing, queue was massive !   Was great, great bunch of guys.

You must have been there around the same time as me. Room was roasting and Hendo's sitting there with a woolly hat on his head 😂. Each of the players took time to speak to the kids and seemed a really friendly bunch. My son was delighted to meet "the one who scored the banger"

Not sure what's so wild about being confident? I'm hardly alone in that assessment as the whole travelling support was singing that we'll be "Championship next season".

That song was being sung last season as well so that's not a good barometer to measure anything by.

Feet on ground, one game at a time and see where we are come May

I thought it was brilliant. Not sure if he was serious or not, but it made me laugh. Docherty's response was also funny. 😂 You could argue for or against, but I tend to side with the view that he was emotional or he was trying to jolt his players/distract. I think maybe the game in itself was worse than some League 2 games, but that would be as far as I'd take it.

    What did Docherty say?

I heard Adams rant live on radio at the time. Very much a manager hurting at getting beat by a last minute goal. But that happens every weekend all over the world without the mad heads gone he showed.

He came across as somebody who regrets coming back to scottish football and wants a return to England. Will be interesting to see Ross County's next few results and performances and whether he's already lost the dressing room. Any player thinking of joining Ross County in January will be questioning if he's a manager they want to work for.

Forgot to say he has always been a fanny, some things have never changed

I wouldn't spend too much time mulling over the inner workings of the brain of a person who has to put their own birthday on a calendar.  I'd be more upset if my wife put my birthday on a calendar than if she didn't.

Has she also put Christmas on it? New Year?

You're right, I'm just being old and crabbit

  5. I'm back to finding stupid petty things really annoying me. I've had a rant in the C**ts on the road and Infuriating Things Your Partner Does threads about stuff that really is petty and not worth getting myself into a state about but I can't help overthinking stuff.

I've got plenty work to be getting on with but no motivation to get it done. I'm good at looking busy but if my boss was to ask me what I've done in a productive sense this week my answer would be the square root of hee haw.

Sometimes I think its the time of year that makes me feel like this but I've got a good job that pays well and I enjoy when I've got the motivation,  a supportive partner and an amazing wee boy. I just can't stop feeling empty and fed up

  6. I bought us a 2024 calendar last week that also has the final 4 months of 2023 on one page.

Scrolling through the calendar and I see she's filled in all family birthdays, medical appointments, holidays etc for 2024. Whose birthday isn't on the calendar even though it's a mere 4 days after hers? It's a petty point but could you imagine if a man was to forget a woman's birthday

There are five teams pulling away from the pack.

Newtongrange are building up a head of steam but they have played three or four games more than the other contenders.

I thought Dunipace might have slipped up at Rosyth but three goals in the first five minutes out paid to that.

Potentially tricky games for Camelon, Whitburn and Dunipace next week.

Be nice if we could get a full card next weekend.

Any idea of the fixtures? I can't make it to Hamilton but would still like to take my son to a nearby game if there is one

Petty from Hamilton in the extreme. Which makes me think we should wave our paper tickets towards their BOD, as a wee ‘up yours’ , with every goal we score.

Pleasing win today and back on course at the top of the league, with a game in hand. Winning at Hamilton gives us a real chance to open a lead at the top. Kelty were competitive and tough, aided in no small part by a dire referee. He must’ve had bets on how many yellows and fouls given against us. On MacIver’s yellow, why would he dive when it was easier to score and he was about to shoot?? Crazy decision. And I think Dross was wrong on calling Miller’s first half header offside too. Both our goals were worked beautifully, Yeats and Morrison doing great to keep the ball alive, with a great flick by MacIver to Nesbitt. 2nd goal perfectly weighted from Nesbitt to Yeats and MacIver done great to header top bin. Kelty were gutted at the end but we deserved to win against the odds, playing against ‘12 men’ always a hard task ref. Onwards to next week and the pressures on Hamilton. A draw wouldn’t be the end of the world for us but a win would put us in a strong position heading to January.

For me MacIver should just turn and hit it though I thought at the time the ball had got stuck under his feet. If he'd taken any longer to go down we'd have been at half time! I've said in the match thread that I didn't think it was a dive but I also didn't think it was a penalty.

I thought at the time that Miller was offside and the highlights seemed to confirm it.

Totally agree with your points about keeping the ball alive at the first and a great cross and header for the second, I suspect that's something that's worked on in training

Hope we've reported that ref to the SFA. Absolute fucking shambles from booking MacIver for the most blatant penalty you will see when through on the keeper to penalising Ross for a clean tackle after he'd just come on, and actually booking him as well was simply beyond incompetence. Our fans were going properly mad at that point and quite rightly. Henderson booked for f**k all. Miller booked for f**k all. Yeats booked for f**k all. McCann booked for f**k all. What, a dozen free kicks for Kelty when a Falkirk player breathed somewhere within 10 yards of them? Don't know if he was Tidser's mate because he seemed to benefit from decision after decision. A total fucking shitshow throughout the 90 minutes, the like of which I dont think I've seen before in over 20 years of watching us, including multiple trips to Ibrox and Celtic Park. Hope he gets many dead rats in the post because they would be fully deserved, the blind p***k.

Yes the ref was bad yesterday but you're really coming across as Old Firm levels of paranoia with that, no wonder fans of other clubs laugh at us

Heard the players had their Christmas night out last week in Newcastle. It depends how much they drank, I'm sure some would have drank plenty but should they be doing this at all when we're in such a battle at the top? At least it's not tonight I suppose

Why shouldn't they have a Xmas night out and why shouldn't they have a drink?

  11. Made hard work of that today but that's down to Kelty not letting us play with the same freedom we did at their place.

Delighted to get the 3 points, and get the 2 points back on Hamilton immediately. Thought Morrison and MacIver were our weakest players and was looking for MacIver to be subbed for Agyeman before he scored.

Onto the ref! I don't usually comment on a refs performance having been one myself years ago albeit at a much lower level but that performance today absolutely stank of it being all about him. He refereed his first Premiership match last weekend and he had an arrogance about him today that said he thought he was now above refereeing at L1 level. For what it's worth I didn't think MacIver dived but I also didn't think it was a penalty. Ethan Ross' yellow was a shocker of a decision

No mention yet, that Stephen McGinn will be on the bench tomorrow. Surprised at how quick that is but McGlynns comments dont strike me as we're going to get a rejuvenated version unfortunately

At 35 years old and his injury history, he's never going to be 'rejuvenated'.

Edit - now listened to McGlynn's pre match interview and it sounds as if he's done, would imagine this will be his final season

Also spelling my fucking name wrong, once I can accept. But it‘s in my signature and the email address you’ve had to add in. Open your eyes idiots.

Totally with you on this and have a story from many years ago that still angers me.

My name is Graeme. It has two spellings I know of, my way or "the English" way. Imagine my horror when despite my initial email to a colleague having my name spelt properly in my signature and at the "To" field in my colleagues reply, she managed to spell my name in the body of the text as "Grime". That was the best part of 20 years ago and still angers me even though I've long since left that employment.

Also last year I emailed another department mailbox for assistance in transferring stuff from their department to mine. The person who opened the email then intending to forward to their manager for help instead pressed reply and sent it to me saying "any idea what this dude is talking about?" Is it too much for folk to just keep their wits about them and check what they're doing first?!

Anyone know how well the new pitch does in cold weather? Seem to remember the old one survived pretty well up to -4 or so. With no  real sleet or snow forecast hoping all is fine for tomorrow

I was at the stadium between 5 and 6 for my son's Goalkeeper coaching and there was an u16 or 18 friendly on. Pitch seemed to be holding up well, main issue seemed to be ice forming in the North East area of the car park

So sin bins and VAR to look at free kicks, second yellows and fucking corners, currently taking recommendations for other sports to watch because if these are implemented I'll not be watching that circus.

Lower or non league football is your go to in that case. If that proposed circus as you rightly describe it comes in then the game has gone.

For me there's an issue in the use of VAR at the top level. The likes of Beaton, Collum, Clancy have got so used to it being there that it's now relied on for the big decisions yet as soon as they drop down into the Championship or League 1 for a game, VAR isn't there and they have to make the decision themselves.

If the proposed use of VAR for corners etc comes in then they'd be as well removing the officials from the pitch and games will be refereed by a computer at Hampden
