  1. Might want to rethink that. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-56889557
  2. So we should now be basing policy decisions on what Devi's mate, the publican, surveys his/her customers about?
  3. It’s bad because big pharma then doesn’t have a new angle to make money.
  4. Bill Gates now declaring that countries vaccinating under 50’s are basically c***s and should be sending all vaccines to India. He never specifically mentioned Israel though. Not the done thing to criticise Israel in the US. Maybe he could have helped the situation more by not fighting to keep IP rights for big pharma and allowing billions more doses to be produced if he’s so concerned about the pandemic. Devi also on the news implying we’re wasting loads of doses and we should be getting those to India instead. How many does she think we’re wasting? Another misleading fact trotted out that we have enough doses to vaccinate the country 4 times over. Big difference between ordered and have but don’t let that get in the way of an agenda.
  5. Have to agree with you here. Champion of a league where some teams haven’t kicked a ball is farcical. If this happened in another country we’d all be laughing at it and calling it tinpot.
  6. Not sure describing case numbers in India as a “new world record” should be the way to get the message across.
  7. suspect we can kiss goodbye to that extra 5 million doses we were expecting from SII. Can't see that coming any time soon.
  8. got a link to this? must have missed this story. why just us? why not the EU, the US and other countries with way more vaccines than we have? ETA I see why now. Only their own Covaxin, AZ and sputnik have been approved for use.
  9. PCR testing possibly at both ends will put the price of a trip abroad out the reach of many though. How much do these things actually cost and how much money is someone making out of them? The idea of being forced to line someone’s pockets would wind me up.
  10. Apparently Pfizer are in discussions to supply India with vaccine at cost. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-56826645 That could open a pandora's box of countries trying to jump on that. Curious to see how this one develops.
  11. Where are these models coming from that there could be 30,000 -100,000 deaths over the next year? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-56830398
  12. He's nothing to do with NHS Wales is the line. Health is devolved
  13. Hancock then got given shares in his sisters company. ETA it was a deal with NHS Wales.
  14. Boris was supposed to be going there on some kind of trade mission I think. Trumps anything like actual public health.
  15. It’s not quarantine people are trying to evade. Everyone has to quarantine regardless. It’s managed quarantine where you have to pay £1500 or so for the privilege instead of being at home for free. I don’t believe for a second that everyone that is supposed to be quarantining at home is doing so and I agree managed quarantine should be effective immediately. What I don’t get is how there are all these allegedly full flights coming back from India. That many people have had valid reasons to travel abroad lately?
  16. Which is offset against tax paid in their tax resident country. Anyway, totally off topic to your point about requiring a visa to come and play football in this country which is simply not a requirement unless you’re becoming a resident and being employed in the UK
  17. A residency test was brought in years after that game.
  18. Real Madrids players don’t need a visa to come and “work” here. They aren’t being paid here. It’s no different to a salesman from France having customers in the UK he has to sell to as part of his job. He’s allowed to travel to the UK to conduct business. I’ve travelled to many countries for business purposes. Never needed a visa for it. no footballer from abroad has ever needed a visa to come and play for his international or club team against a UK team.
  19. It really isn’t. The idea that football is big business is a myth. Very few football clubs take in as much revenue a year as a single large supermarket. Not the group. One single store. It is important to the communities voters.
  20. Agree with this. I’m no fan of Neville but he has stated this many times this is about the owners and he admires Klopp and the team.
  21. Unfortunately it won’t. It’s a short career innit now where’s my half mill a week mr. Glazier. No player is going to turn down the money on offer. They never have before, in any sport.
  22. Carragher at least acknowledging the hypocrisy of Sky
