  1. you should be a politician the way you try and spin and deflect what is a perfectly reasonable question
  2. There is no need for anyone to be a govt apologist on either vaccine rollout. As I pointed out both countries are delivering all they get. There is nothing in Wales stats to beat the SG with here. There clearly is as proportionately they've administered significantly more doses (first and second) than we have in Scotland. You agree they won't have had proportionately more supply so there is a question to be asked at the very least. this is the same Wales that was an utter shambles at the start of their roll-out.
  3. That's what it seems to be. Can't say I disagree with the approach. use the vulnerable as dartboards to be on the safe side while we monitor others to check the longevity
  4. Possibly because they have far less folk to vaccinate ? yes they have a smaller population, but they also have a smaller NHS/workforce to actually deliver the vaccines so it's all proportionate. If they were getting proportionately more supply I'd suspect there would have been a stink in the media so I doubt it's that. You don't have to be an apologist for the Scottish Government over every issue. It's a very tired routine.
  5. No-one is talking about SPFL 1 & 2 as you very well know.
  6. I'm awaiting the next wave of incoming about rich nations buying up all the vaccines.
  7. These extra Pfizer aren't boosters against variants. I'm guessing they're to ensure longevity of protection. The Curevac is in theory being deisgned to give better protection against variants but it does seem a bit pointless when no known variant has laid a glove on the vaccines yet.
  8. 60m more Pfizer ordered for booster doses. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-56921018
  9. I get that. Yes in sport there are winners and losers but is within the bounds of sporting integrity to declare a winner after such a curtailed season is the point.
  10. sure it was announced on the news yesterday we were doing over 45's Governments figures break it down to 40-49 only but we've only done 40% of those.
  11. How are Wales trucking along and we're still on the over 45's?
  12. Where does anything in the BBC article today contradict that.? Don't recall the article saying anything about reconstruction. I think his point is that sporting integrity is in question when a team has been declared champions after 3 games when some teams haven't even played a single game.
  13. India is forecast to overtake China and become the most populous nation on the planet fairly soon and no real decline in population is predicted over the next few decades. https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/11/population-race-china-india/#:~:text=And now%2C India is on,reach 1.28B in 2100.
  14. Think they said last night only about 1% of GDP is spent on healthcare in India. Only figures I can find indicate its actually about 3.5%. People like to have a moan about how underfunded the NHS is but to put it into perspective about 10% of our GDP is spent on healthcare.
  15. Currently at 350,000 cases per day (low estimate probably). With an R0 of roughly 3 it doesn’t bear thinking about where they’ll be in a couple of weeks.
  16. We had 10m ordered from India. We’ve had half of that. Agree with you we won’t be getting the rest but not the end of the world. I don’t think India’s problem at the moment is vaccines. They need to do something like lockdown to stop transmission. Probably easier said than done though. It will get a whole lot worse before it gets better as they don’t seem to have started any mitigation so christ knows where the peak will be.
  17. I assumed that families were burying/cremating their dead without informing officialdom, which led to the discrepancy between actual and reported. The story is that crematorium officials have been instructed to “massage” the figures.
  18. Sky News running a story that the Indian government are deliberately hiding the real death toll.
  19. Financial support is surely likely to go for venues that are allowed to open, regardless of how constrained they are to actually do business.
  20. You mean the Cowdenbeath he now hates because they helped relegate his beloved Hearts? Did you not hear him and Donald Findlay on the radio during the Hearts fiasco?
  21. It couldn't afford a ticket. Give Samsung Galaxys footballers wages.
  22. Wait until you’ve had a few outdoor lagers.
  23. Deepti needs her fans to create a wiki entry for her. That’ll fix her credibility issue.
  24. When was that recorded? The ticker tape across the bottom mentioned 26m first doses and 2m second so must have been a while ago.
