You must get SSP surely? Forgive me as I’ve never worked anywhere you don’t get paid if you’re off so have no clue how this works but are you saying you get SSP for 2 days then the company pays you for the rest of the time you’re off?

People will never stop going into hospital with covid. Its here to stay, so I dont think that would be an acceptable answer. It’s one that will be lapped up by the apologists though.

Had genuine side effects so took the day off after my jab. Had sod all to do at work so no-one noticed anyway. I’d taken a gamble and not phoned in sick. Avoids the paperwork and back to work interview. No hit to my Bradford score either which has been zero for the best part of 10 years.

BBC reporting that the EU will allow free access to vaccinated British tourists. It would be ironic if it wasn't the big bad EU that stopped people going on holiday this summer and it was Boris and co with their testing and isolation policies. Did see another article related to travel that people have booked two holidays at the same time. one in the UK and one abroad. With the cancellation policies in place they can't lose money but obviously one of the holidays will be getting ditched. No idea how widespread this is but given all the nonsense going on there could be a lot of cancelled holidays regardless this year.
