  1. There was a tweaked vaccine on order a while back. Off the top of my head I can't remember which vaccine it was. Pretty sure this was well before any talk of an Indian variant. ETA. Here it is. Curevac https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-vaccines-partnership-to-rapidly-respond-to-new-virus-variants
  2. Does anyone have any idea what these people are actually gaining from ignoring the facts and spouting this rubbish? I'm genuinely baffled as to what could be in it for them. Are they really that desperate to get 5 minutes of fame in a throwaway interview on TV? How does that actually help them career-wise or otherwise when their predictions will be provable garbage in hindsight?
  3. If you got your pint in the wrong pub it could be you.
  4. When did I say it did. Just so you’re clear it doesn’t because you’re obviously a moron.
  5. Are you incapable of rationale thought? It’s reported that Colts teams in the diddy cup have been a resounding success. You need to believe less of what you read in the media and apply your own thought about how things will pan out.
  6. Not for everyone. Only after day 3 does SSP kick in and lots of employers will pay your full wages before that and for a long time after.
  7. You believe that’s going to happen?
  8. Get your haircut while you’re doing your office job.
  9. Too many people are led to believe their job is a vocation or a career or their company is a big family. It’s just a job and your employer gives zero fucks about you. I do the minimum I can get away with so they carry on putting money in my bank at the end of the month. I play the game with a few extra hours here and there so I’m not wasting holiday time but I’m under no illusion they give a f**k about me.
  10. I fi d the time off for haircut mental (then again I have no hair these days) but the rest of it is totally normal. Maybe as someone suggested it’s a split between office and public facing jobs.
  11. She’s an attention seeking blowhard that is spreading the scaremongering pish if independent SAGE Scroll down the replies until you get to mac n chise and read from there to get some sense. I’d paste it in if I knew how to do anything in twitter
  12. I don’t do it that often, only when there’s a panic about something. Not even once a month I’d think. People that work an extra hour or so for free every day are off their heads imo. I’d be surprised if I’m not getting a few hours off a month for some appointment or other so I’m certainly not losing out of it and it works for me being able to keep my holidays.
  13. Same for me. Don’t know anyone that has to use leave for shite like that. If I did have to they’d be getting f**k all unpaid overtime out of me no matter what was going on at work.
  14. Sure some do but the vast majority don’t. I had a lot of visits to the dentist last year getting implants. Work didn’t bat an eyelid ‘cos they know I don’t take the piss.
  15. Not in my experience. Allowed time off for medical appointments.
  16. The alternative view is that they care more and realise what restrictions are doing to people,
  17. I guess the stewards can’t catch Covid then. Just give us all hi viz jackets and we can get on with our lives.
  18. That’s the easy bit. Any couple of random women can carry on all manner of conversation about any old shite.
  19. Like I said. It stands up to no scrutiny. I’ve been in pubs this week with more people inside than that. I bet there’s been games in public parks that have had more than 50 people round the pitch.
  20. There have been crowds at all the games in Scotland the past week although allowing in larger numbers would have been better. I'm surprised the SFA didn't look to host the cup final elsewhere when it was announced that Glasgow was staying in level 3 - pretty much anywhere outside Glasgow would have done for a crowd of 500 or so. Dunfermline for instance. I don’t think Edinburgh City were allowed any fans at Ainslie Park. No idea why the regulations didn’t allow it but absolutely certain the rationale won’t stand up to any scrutiny.
  21. Scotland-esque kicking posession away with about a minute left. never understand that tactic
  22. I’ve just seen a scotgov advert on the tv about a site that has coping tips on restrictions opening up in case you’re nervous about it
  23. Robbies on Leith walk was but it was packed both inside and out and I guess people had booked. Nowhere else I’ve been was bothered.
  24. Was going to say exactly this. He’s about to pull the trigger and that’s not a genuine attempt to play the ball.
