I can understand people who panic and i do think we need to bring players in, but if it means taking our time to bring the right player in rather than rushing and accepting any player who becomes available i'm more than happy to wait.
Atletico Madrid early 2000's has to be up there they had a sponsorship deal with Columbia Pictures which meant any movie released by Columbia that season would be splashed on the front of their shirt. They had blockbusters such as Spider-man 2 and Resident Evil.
Can't seem to get the pictures to work but here is an article written a few years ago about it. https://footballshirtcollective.com/2017/11/12/remembering-when-atletico-madrid-had-a-different-kit-almost-every-match/
Apparently De Gea has failed to save a penalty since 2016. pretty terrible record and didn't look like getting near any of them tonight. What a penalty by the Villarreal keeper by the way.
Really wouldn't wish John Hughes on anyone. very horrific football but I do give the guy credit besides the shambles at Raith Rovers he does seem to get his teams up for the battle.
I thought he was starting to look okay at L1 level nearer the end of the season. does concern me that i don't think he'll be a prolific goalscorer at this level though. Which is something we missed once Hamilton went back to Livingston.
Quite a lot of part times teams currently in League One and Two will go in the next few years. Brechin could very easily be any of us part time diddies.
At least we know where we stand, now to hopefully bring in a few to strengthen the squad for what could potentially be a very tough League next season.
