  1. Bollox, look at Chris Burke!! Still wish he was playing for us!
  2. On the other hand Oli Shaw might be waking up now and if RCC and Gardyne can provide, reckon we will win 3-2, something like that.
  3. Wouldn't be surprised if Mullin get's a goal or two, highly rated for me and a disgrace how we sold him back to a rival. Sell him sure if he wanted to leave, any club in any league but to relegation rivals in same division is madness! Really decent player, he will leave Livingston too once again soon enough, sooner or later and go onto better things!
  4. Waste of money unless you want to circle jerk for United, St. Mirren going down!
  5. It's a key game without a doubt, have a lot of time for Livingston and hope they do well this season, obviously not for this match though! With RCC, Shaw & Gardyne if they were to start and are on it this is definitely winnable. Can see us conceding a goal, but this is a win for me
  6. I would also agree that we have a 'fairly capable squad', better than Hamilton, but not much more than Livingston and St. Mirren. Am sure fans of both clubs would argue against that. Sure, better, but not a lot better. This season, both Motherwell & St. Johnstone have better, larger squads for the season. If we finish above them, it would be a great season! As much good as the training facilities are, they don't trump location when players are so far away from family! Even money doesn't. Sometimes it's not about money. As ambitious as the chairman is, we don't have the pulling power of a central belt club, Motherwell being an example. As we can see clubs like Motherwell are seen as a great stepping stone to much bigger things, County this happens, sure, but very rarely, mostly by fluke, not often really. When it is by luck the manager is hailed a genius, when in actual fact it could be some scout we never hear of or some unknown in the background that made the move happen. Was there another Jackson Irvine out there waiting to be signing, willing to move location, move away from family during these times of restrictions? Or a Boyce, Chris Burke, Boukraa type player? How much money was available? I'm guessing not as much as we assume. In a time when crowds are zero, to end up like Dundee United are in now? I will take relegation and the club to exist, worst case scenario anyday. Will ICT exist next year, seriously? Will we have rivals? I hope so, but maybe not. The is a reason why County shopped ICT players, season after season, not to weaken them but there wasn't much options elsewhere. Young players often just want to live centrally, close to their families. During these times, even more understandable. It would have to be some manager/scout with contacts to get a top quality player in like the ones I mentioned. As for the players leaving, was there issues behind the scenes? I'm guessing there probably most definitely was. Why always take the side of the player leaving, always blaming the manager? Maybe in the long run it was better they left even if it made the squad weaker in the short term? All clubs have had to deal with such issues. I'm sure Kettlewell didn't solely make those decisions, I reckon it was group-think and Ferguson & Macgregor may well have been part of it. I wouldn't be suprised to see County finish top 6, even this season, though I am seriously doubting now! Hehe, but to expect that as a natural outcome, natural order all because of training facilites and a little more money than the rivals, no. Too early to be calling for the manager's head, will wait till January and reckon even, even if a bad series of results we still won't be bottom of the table. Not happening this season.
  7. Positives, we are not Hamilton and not in relegation spot. Club needs to exist next season and not go gung-ho with sackings and team clear out. I have no idea why good players left, maybe they weren't happy, far away from families etc. We are in an OK position, winnable games on horizon, even if lost, unless in that last place I ain't panicking!
  8. With the recruitment for all we know, maybe Kettlewell has a hand tied behind his back. Covid will bring down several clubs, I wouldn't assume County are safe, TV money or not. Josh Mullin was a strange one to let go, definitely. Maybe background issues, family issues, who knows. I genuially think they will stay up regardless, 3rd bottom maybe but who cares in a mad season like this! Some County fans expect top 6, yet this season I will accept the club existing at the end of the season than spending money, sacking a manager when 8th in the league, then a new manager spending God knows how much signing other players. Not this season, get real!
  9. Thing is, 8th in the league, not bad. 5 points, ok, games in hand against us, but not a time to panic! Sure, could be playing a lot better, Josh Mullen should never have been sold that's a given, but it's not a disaster! Mackay will hit a streak at somepoint, Stewart will snap out of his sulk from not being sold and do well... if he has any ambition left. There are wins ahead. It's not McIntyre stages yet despite the defeats, nowhere near!!!
  10. Bit of a flat game so far, what happened to the artificial crowd noise? Hibs starting to control though, they will win in normal time.
  11. There are worse teams than County in the league, despite all the negativity. Hamilton will go down this season and St. Mirren/Livingston not far behind. No shame losing to United, far bigger budget than we will ever have.
