Good to hear Bobby Wales is doing well for you. I'm a Killie fan and I'm following his progress with interest. By the way, I wonder if anyone could help with a question I have about the League Cup tie between our teams on 22nd August 1984. It finished 1-1 after extra time with Killie winning 3-2 on penalties. Lloyd equalised for Alloa in 54 minutes. I know Thomson and Lloyd missed in the shoot out but does anyone know who scored your 2 penalties? I've checked the Express, Record, Herald and Scotsman without success. Thanks.

At least 14 Scottish games were shown during the Big Match era(1968-83). Most involved the Old Firm but a 2-2 draw between Morton and Partick Thistle at Cappielow was featured in February 1979 only because just 5 fixtures survived the weather that day in England.

Hi folks Long time lurker first time poster. The purpose of the thread is to discuss memories of games shown on Scotsport and Sportscene especially during the 1970’s and 1980’s. Thanks mainly to the Aberdeen Evening Express, which is available online, I’ve managed to put together a fairly substantial list during lockdown of the matches covered by both BBC Scotland and STV from 1975 to 1990. I’m happy to share my research so far if there is any interest. In the meantime, is anyone able to recognise these commentators?
