The prominent whisky Youtubers are bad for the tasting note pish. One in particular who routinely bores on about whisky pricing despite sitting in front of a display thats easily £10-12k worth. Edit - also celebrates new distilleries punting 3yo for £65+ then has snide digs at big players for doing similar things on price.

I disagree, years gone by I've paid the following £47 for deanston 18yo £24 for auchentoshan 3 wood £82 for glengoyne 21 Thats within the last 3 years or so btw.

I suppose there's scenarios where 5s is either incredibly harsh or lenient.

Going by the last few prime day deals, I would be surprised. Very little on offer these days. Anything that is advertised as such is normally reduced down to what it should be.

Agree mate, I've spent similar at Deanston after sampling. The 15yo French oak is amongst my top 5 drams ever. The Port is actually better imo but never owned a bottle
