Rangers' Wee Spot in Europe - Season 2023/24
WilliamBragg replied to The_Kincardine's topic in Scots in Europe
You said he thought Suarez should shake Evras hand. Why? What is his ridiculous thought process that Evra would shake the hand of racist scum. Does he think Kamara should shake the hand of Kudela? I have always thought Gerrard has been a vile individual and have seen nothing to change that. I have never once seen him condemn Suarez. Why can't you see how two faced that is? -

Shake the hand of a racist? Great advice. Did he give the same advice to Kamala? -

OK fair enough I got that one wrong. I stand by my other comment. As captain of the club should he along with all Liverpool squad not condemned Suarez? Why was his racism not equally wrong in Gerrard 's eyes? -

Before the match. The whole team did to show they backed Suarez. He was captain of the club and should have led by example surely? Surely racism is wrong at all times not just when said by opposition. Not once did Gerrard publicly condemn Suarez. It's the hypocrisy of football. -

Yes he did and at no point condemned the racism of Suarez. -

Racism is horrific as is sectarianism and homophobia. Gerrard is quite right to stand by his player if he was racially abused and for what it's worth I am in doubt he was. It's a pity though Gerrard has previous for backing a racist when Suarez was clearly guilty of it. If I had been a Liverpool player that day I would have refused to be part of the charade of wearing a Suarez shirt. Before MJC and his misguide ilk claim I hate Rangers I will say I am married to a Rangers season ticket holder. She is doing my head in just now but probably no more so than I did her head in when my team won our first ever Junior Cup in 2016. -
Celtic and Rangers B Teams in League Two?
WilliamBragg replied to falski's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Why should your colt teams jump in 2 levels of my team just because they've got Celtic in their name. Start at level 7 in West of Scotland League if you want this stupid idea to go ahead. -

That's fine from his Wikipedia page. I think it was just a hoax? No it's definitely true. I read his dad's autobiography and it's contained in there. That's why there is only one t in his shortened name. Archie got his wife to go home to Paisley to give birth so his kid wasn't born in England. -

I'm sure that is also the case. I seem to remember years ago a Scottish player serving a suspension 3 or 4 years later as he was at a club who hadn't been in Europe in that time. You can see how a team could end up fielding an intelligible player in these circumstances. -

Turns out teams from Prague are quite good. Who knew? Has anybody checked to see if MJC is OK and not hurting too much? -
Definitely genuinely worried about Kincardine. Don't agree with a lot he posts especially in political section but he's entitled to his opinion. Always seemed a decent enough guy and there's no way he wouldn't be on here celebrating just now if he was OK. All the best to you Kincardine wherever you are. Slainte

Only the decision they could make. I was all for my club playing and understood the decision of clubs who didn't play but there comes a time when a decision had to be made. Onwards to next season for all of us now.

Being a bit older than some on here I recall listening Rangers fans I knew during their 9 in a row run. I don't know if fans singing about but the ones I knew were going on about doing 10 in a row after 2 or 3 seasons of the run due to how poor Celtic were at the time.. Most Rangers fans seemed to think it was going to be a formality akin to Celtic fans during this era. Indeed I rema Sunday Mail article after 6 with Richard Gough saying their 6 was better than Celtic's 9 as Celtic played nobody. This despite Rangers having a team capable of reaching 2 European finals during the run. Football fans are arrogant it's what we do. -

You're better than that mate. Jinky did criticise the Celtic fans for their behaviour. I think not seeing his son entitles him to be angry but the dafties from both sides who think laws don't apply to them. -

I'm no fan of Rangers but some things are a lot more important than football. Hope his children's mother is better than the father. Hopefully Walter is on the mend. -

Total scum behaviour. There is no hope for people like that. Hopefully Walter is on the road to recovery. -

I too hope this is untrue as he always came across as a decent guy and showed especially at the passing of Tommy Burns. I think the family's privacy should be respected until they wish to comment on it and leave speculation alone. -

By definition therefore you are conversely actively wanting the other team to win. Especially when it comes to the arse cheeks. Why would you care? -

Taking an interest I understand. Actively wanting someone other than your own club to win something I don't. Especially when it comes to the arse cheeks in Glasgow. -

Not at all my friend. I just love the fact Mr Alli appears to be stalking me with red dots. I find it funny. Almost as funny as his love of Rangers whilst pretending to support Dundee. A weirdo like MJC.
