    It's game over regardless, Benfica were out of it and we were two goals and a man up. Kents shot had an xG of 0.36, so it's not exactly unthinkable that he didn't score. Helander has played 13/18 games this season, he's not exactly a bit part player. And I've no idea why Balogun, who's a more aggressive player and therefore even more likely to overcommit, would have a style better suited to playing in this game. Tonight Helander struggled with one of the best young strikers in Europe. That's why he struggled. He's defended against plenty of players with pace and movement, as is reflected by his record in Scotland. He had a bad game tonight, no doubt, but saying he can't defend against quick players is daft.

    Blaming Kent for costing Rangers the game is a genuinely ridiculous opinion. He's the reason Benfica go down to ten men and why Barisic gets so much space on the left. Clipping a shot off the post when we're 3-1 up doesn't cost us the game. Shown a lot of quality this season too. Helanders also been part of a defence that conceded 3 goals all season before tonight. Yeah he had a bad game tonight, but lets cool some of these hot takes a bit.

    Benfica have rested a LOT of players. Odysseas, Nuno Tavares, Vertonghen, Otamendi, Goncalves, Pizzi, Taarabt, Weigl, Everton, Seferovic, Rafa Silva. They've benched Grimaldo, Gabriel, Waldschmidt and Darwin Nunez. Big opportunity for us.

    Would be pretty happy if Benfica decided to drop the likes of Everton and Nunez tbh. They've a deep squad but those guys are their best players.

    I mean, it's one thing for your model to be a bit off because of variance. That happens. It's quite another when the reason your model is off is because all your assumptions were dogshit.

    People will, more often than not, put themselves first. If you're struggling, you have to. And if you think Trump gives you a better shot of changing the economic consensus then you'll probably take it. And if you're talking about Glasgow, it's very quickly morphing into a well-educated and well-resourced city. It still has plenty of poor parts, but it's the biggest city in the entire country and therefore it does still have opportunity in it. Places like West Virginia simply don't have that.
