  1. Dalbeattie would be as well like Threave making their way over to the West and finding their level somewhere in the middle as opposed to these two extremes of being complete whipping boys in the LL or pissing the SOS.
  2. The Broomhills etc know the game is a bogey long term and have something to protect. That means squeezing every last penny out of their shitey existence because theres only so many times a benefactor can be arsed to dope them up before realising a club without fans or any assets is completely unsustainable. We've a good few years left of this.
  3. Said last year its going to take a good 5 years potentially more of weeding out the shite one by one for the mood to change. Too many leech clubs like Broomhill, Caley Braves, Cumbernauld etc still stinking out the gaff. Don't see what these clubs get out of it either. Celtic's weans grubbing it in the middle of this league shows they are miles off the standards required to break into their first team.
  4. I think eventually what will happen over time is the death by a thousand cuts outcome. There will be an increasing trickle effect where another handful of the better resourced and more ambitious members decide to defect to the West and then you're left with a crisis. Threave have shown there's life to the staggered approach of climbing up the West and finding their level at a reasonable standard of football rather than playing in the South in a league filled with amateur standard players and with a glass ceiling, hoping one day to get lucky and into the LL for a season of cricket scores. If you ended up with the SOS lock stock moving to the bottom of the West you'd potentially end up with further regionalisation to maintain the balance i.e. South Ayrshire/Lanarkshire teams playing in a Div 4/5 south and I can't imagine that would go down well with the lower ranking SOS teams who both do not want the extra travel and fear a regular shoeing.
  5. Peasy were excellent against St. Roch's. It could have easily been more than 4-1. It looked every inch Darvel v West Park. Both will be at opposite ends of the league based on that.
  6. I know, but I just don't think the thought of more weekly doings will appeal. The bottom rung sides in the West Prem are stronger than the dregs of the Lowland League too. Bonnyton gave an insight into what the likely outcome would be. I think the likes of Threave, Gretna and Dalbeattie could find their level somewhere in division 2/3 of the West and I don't think theres any shame in that as opposed to staying camped in the South with a glass ceiling.
  7. It'll be a season of pumpings and then relegation. The situation of teams like Gretna and Dalbeattie is interesting to me. Are they better served being heavyweights in a glorified amateur league in the SOS or moving to the bottom rung of the West like Threave and eventually finding their level somewhere within that system?
  8. Any idea on the crowd? It looked sparse. Someone must still be pumping cash into them. Theres a few lads in that team who would probably do a job in League 2.
  9. Seen another tweet from a friend of a player who was there last year saying the same. This mob just find new ways to outdo themselves.
  10. If the true purpose of this was developing players for European and International level, why not just put the B teams straight into the Premier League? This would surely then deliver the true barometer of whether these players are ever going to be capable of competing at an elite level? Oh wait, we'd suddenly hear the crocodile tears from the pair of them about the credibility of competition being devalued, as they've been attempting to derail the whole time in the lower leagues.
  11. At the end of the day, whether a player plays for Rangers B or Berwick Rangers in the Lowland League it's not going to stop them finding the level which reflects their ability, which is much more likely to be Cove Rangers than ever getting a sniff of the Rangers first team, let alone having a noticeable impact. It's insincere horse shit with the real intention of giving the Old Firm a safety net if their voyage to some fantasy league elsewhere goes tits up. Ian Maxwell is nothing but an unqualified patsy.
  12. This Beuker guy just reeks of the self indulgent, smug, delusional total football w****r that the SFA have shown over the years they have a fascination for. Holland the country with three times the population of us.
  13. I don't think it matters too much, hes still clearly a figure of influence and a mouthpiece for the leeching diddies stinking that league up.
  14. Its a done deal. Wee fat George rushed it through now so his mob can have one last hurrah before they're dust in a year and he can get what he really wants, his free season ticket at Ibrox.
  15. We knew it was coming. Stunned they've rushed it through in April before more of the turds flush over the close season and we have little transparency on the voting specifics. Another 5 years of this shite I'd say. Most we can hope for now is two end up going down or one down and Broomhill go bust to keep the process going along as speedily as possible.
  16. I've always sort of questioned if the money at Darvel was coming from Kennedy/Black Rooster or Gall/Brownings. We will find out now. EK another club with backers so not surprising if the likes of him and Ferry pitch up there. Signed the likes of Alan Lithgow, Kyle Connell, Bob McHugh in the last year and they're miles off it so will be interesting to see how this pans out. I suspect even more money will be thrown at it and more big names recruited as part of the "project".
  17. Pumped again on Saturday against pishy wee Cumbernauld Colts. Becomes more of a shambles by the week.
  18. Another nothing team in a crowded market. Too many of them around at the moment. Peasy are the Springburn team. Hopefully and probably will disappear into irrelevance, whos funding it?
  19. Ah the abuse card getting wheeled out now. The top trump of the slackjaw. In another shocker, Tam McManus is also sticking up for wee Si' giving it the haters gonna hate routine pretty much.
  20. Crowd will be pish from a St. Roch's perspective clashing with an Old Firm game. Their attendances heavily weigh on when and where Celtic play on the same weekend. If it was on another time, i.e. the Sunday you would easily get 1500 in for it.
  21. Mozza away? He was their only fan ffs. It was a stack of cards waiting to tumble as others have said. As soon as the novelty factor of seeing the clown show with Si and Slaney wore off, without promotion or getting close to it and having something to market on going forward it was always going to be on a very shaky peg. Can't see anything other than going bust. Nae fans, nae ground, nae infrastructure, nae backers. f**k all. Its real competitive for the Old Firm diddy team coin now. Colt teams, womens teams, podcasts, all the various ex juniors who lean one way or the other. That pie just keeps getting cut thinner and thinner, its over saturated. Can't see him and his drinking buddies ending up back at Peterhead, 11th in the LL currently, they're miles off even competing in L2 where Peterhead will likely end up and they've just turfed out another documentary w****r. Darvel seems a good fit for Ferry. Another media darling vanity project and he'll feel at home with the part-time old firm fans who will lap up the journey and a squad of neds who'd rather be on a stag doo than try and play for promotion. Sounds like a match made in heaven.
  22. I felt last year we probably had another 4/5 years left of the Colt shite until the trickle effect of all the LL no hopers being relegated for real teams is fully complete, and unfortunately I stand by that. As we all know its nothing to do with player development, if a kid is slumming it week in and out in the LL with the B jobbers then they are almost certainly never becoming regulars within the first teams at Celtic and Rangers (Hearts are just useful idiots). Its always about it being a placeholder for fucking off to some other league.
  23. McCall has as long as he likes. The chanting at games and social media posts by fans tells you all you need to know. Cushiest job in Scottish Football.
  24. I think Queen's Park's biggest problem is a lack of self belief from being in this position compared to decades in the lower reaches of the bottom divisions. This league is absolutely minging. I get the argument of biting off more than you can chew and growing too quickly, especially when the ground situation has been a complete mess, but this league is absolutely there for the taking and Haughey has the finances to get the right couple of players in that the other teams don't. Won't be anywhere near as easy next year as a Ross County type will throw money at it to get out straight away again.
  25. Sent packing by the galacticos of second string Dunfermline and Hamilton teams. Bit of a step up now to winning the Champions League and the World Cup.
