  1. I thought the scattergun signings of made up FM Regens was over with our new DoF?
  2. Murray Johnson been sent on loan to QoS for the season next year. Intrigued to see how he gets on as there’s really high hopes for him, still only 18 and seemed to do a superb job for Airdrie last season when he had his emergency loan spells there, bearing in mind he was 17 at the time. Got a contract with Hibs running until 2027.
  3. On the topic or red cards, is someone more clued up than me able to explain why the boy who handballed it for the penalty wasn’t sent off? Surely if it’s a handball stopping the ball going into the net it’s a red card? Or is the fact it was deemed unintentional the reason why it wasn’t a red?
  4. Seems pretty feasible, most of the time I’ve seen O’Connor he’s played through the middle but I think he can and has played wide before also. Would definitely say Aiken looks more of an advanced midfielder that’s pretty talented on the ball and does a lot of running. Obviously this all comes with the caveat that Championship/League 1 is a better standard than the UEFA Youth League.
  5. Intrigued to see how O’Connor & Aiken get on with you guys next year. Watched them both a fair bit this season in the UEFA Youth League. Murray Aiken played in the middle of the park/as a number 10 when I saw him and particularly against Molde he played absolutely out his skin and was the best player on the pitch, at the risk of sounding “yer da” he probably does need to bulk up but he’s a good dribbler and quite nimble on the ball, the way he moves on the ball almost reminds me of Dylan McGeouch. Hull offered us a few hundred grand for him in January and it was assumed he was signing a pre-contract there but we’ve obviously convinced him to stick around. O’Connor is intriguing given his connections with his dad but he’s absolutely nothing like him in terms of style, he’s small, slight but very quick and a good ball carrier, has featured a couple of times in the first team too and did well to win a penalty against Aberdeen. Will be keeping an eye out.
  6. Pittodrie is one of only three grounds in Scotland I’ve seen Hibs play a competitive game at but I’ve never seen Hibs win at (other two being Tannadice & Parkhead). So on that basis and that basis alone, we are due a win here, I know we won during covidball but that season doesn’t count. Looking forward to my trip up the road and multiple beers although I’m fully expecting the police being utter arseholes to everyone travelling after the young team having a big scrap last time so I am mentally prepared for that. A point would be decent, a win would be sensational.
  7. Greetings from plages du prado. Still never seen an Elie Youan goal in the flesh.
  8. Every time I miss a game Elie Youan seems to score. Guess who’s away sunning themselves in Marseille this weekend
  9. Agree with this, like a Rob Cross/Michael Van Gerwen darts sensation that makes you wonder if he ever actually had hair.
  10. Brian McDermott new DoF it seems, fairly decent record in management albeit out the game for the past few years. Been a chief scout with Arsenal until 2020 but looks like he’s been doing consultancy work since, been around the block and will definitely have a good book of contacts, fairly okay with that at this stage but time will tell.
  11. Personally disappointed it’s been overruled as now Jimmy Jeggo is available for the next match.
  12. If you’re suggesting there’s a conspirator agenda against Hibs then I would simply suggest you log off and have a lie down sir.
  13. I’m sure the champions league and World Cup referees get plenty training but still manage to f**k it up every week. Referees will always make mistakes just like players do, nothing can ever make me understand why people wanted to take away the spontaneity and excitement of scoring goals for this. On the incident itself I’m not even that arsed, hopefully Jeggo gets a ban extension for a frivolous appeal purely because he’s shit and I don’t want to watch him play next week, what I am arsed about is how football is substantially worse due to VAR being part of the game.
  14. But it’s the same problem in every league in the world where errors continuously happen? So the technology is in fact pointless and ruining goal celebrations and confusing paying punters for the benefit of those watching on telly isn’t in fact “good?”
  15. I think if I read this statement again I will combust, it’s the 2023 version of “Brexit isn’t the problem it’s the poor deal we have.” You watch football anywhere and we continuously see dreadful VAR decisions, for example in the Juventus Napoli game last night, it’s happening all around the world. Bad refereeing decisions happened before VAR, they still happen and it’ll never change, with VAR we’ve sacrificed the spontaneity and best part of football for 0 gain, anyone with half a brain told everyone that this would happen and the good guys are once again being proven right.
  16. Instead of £5 tickets you could repay us by allowing us to win on Saturday.
  17. As a serial McDiarmaid Park complainer this is a truly dreadful take from a truly dreadful twitter account, how dare people want a day out watching their team? I personally won’t be there as I timed a trip to Copenhagen on purpose with a weekend we have St Johnstone away as I hate the away day and wouldn’t have gone anyway, but this suggestion is Celtic energy, deary dear. In recent years St Johnstone have been a major bogey team for us, especially when it’s been a game with increased interest, in cups, sell out matches, I am pretty sure we’ll at drop at least two points here so at least when it turns out we’ll be playing in the bottom six I’ll have some nice Danish pastries and overpriced Tuborg to ease the meltdown. Can then take up any vent fury at some washed up Danish footballer at Brondby v Randers on the Sunday.
  18. Seeing as we were kind enough to give you 3 points last weekend lads, could you pick up something this weekend for us? Even a point will do.
  19. Lochend Butterfly Way or through the back of Sainsbury’s are your two options, you’re welcome.
  20. Absolute respect for the young team with this intellectual graffiti on the bridge of doom in preparation before tonight, I could smell the fresh spray paint as I walked over it.
  21. Hibs to absolutely batter Hearts and create plenty chances, miss them all, possibly a VAR call against us. Some absolute no mark like James Hill or Kio to score a howitzer from about 40 yards in the last 15 minutes to secure the 3 points for the away side. Its the Edinburgh derby way and that’s just what happens.
  22. Alexa show me any Edinburgh Derby played at Easter Road (albeit with the home and away team swapped).
  23. I’m possibly being naive or too positive but for Ireland if we had a 2500 allocation and if that went down to 12 points I would think if we can get any stadiums with a similar allocation I would expect it to drop further than that given how much easier Ireland is to get to than anyone else in our group is.
  24. We all know full well Zander Clark will be back in the starting line up on Saturday, it’s Hearts in a derby, that is simply what Hearts do. Speaking of which, managed to get Hearts draw no bet at 23/20 with Ladbrokes and I have lumped a sizeable sum of money on that.
