  1. Usual morning group chat rumours on days like this, no idea if it’s genuine etc etc usual caveats but provides some hope!
  2. Boyle is definitely one of the few footballers that remain that you can file under the “not a c**t” banner. The fact he signed 2 new contracts with Hibs, the first, so that we would get money for him if he goes and the second so that we get decent money if he goes shows the guy has a real loyalty and appreciates what the club have done for him, definitely an outlier to the careerists that we see everywhere else. FWIW I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, would I f**k offer to stay at my employer because they paid for my training etc if another company came along and offered to double my salary but if I did that would definitely bring me under the banner of “not a c**t.”
  3. I’m sorry but that second paragraph is nonsense. Ryan Fraser and James Forrest have been picked for every squad that they’ve been fit for. You could argue Fraser is better than Boyle due to the different leagues, I would argue against but that’s acceptable but Forrest? Pre-injury yes but since his injury he’s shown absolutely nothing to suggest he’s still a better footballer than Martin Boyle.
  4. As much as I do get your point I would go as far as saying he’s a better player than Ryan Fraser who I watched yesterday and was absolutely shite and also better than todays version of James Forrest, no fault of his own, Based on our current system for Scotland, no we wouldn’t start him because we don’t play with wingers but he can slot in at right wing back which was a major problem position before Patterson emerged aswell as up front, bringing him on when we’re chasing a goal or even defending a lead with him on the last defender would be a massive boost for us and he would definitely be around the 15 cap mark by now. Theres no disputing we made a huge mistake by not calling him up.
  5. He’s been with us for 2 years and I still have absolutely 0 idea what he’s meant to be good at. He looks like a player but that’s about it, passing is average, can’t tackle, isn’t creative, doesn’t dribble the ball, just an average average player, like Slivka without the strength/powerfulness/goals against the old firm.
  6. Honestly can’t begrudge Boyle a move to be honest, he’s signed 2 new contracts with us when he could have walked away for more cash. If he wants to go and we can get £2-3m, I would be okay with letting him go, it would weaken us significantly but obviously if our new boys are decent and we can bring someone else in with some of that money, maybe a bit younger, similar to our other signings, it’s probably not bad business with Boyles age too. Wish him all the best if he is to go, definitely the most improved player I’ve ever seen at Hibs and probably one of the best too, definitely in the same category as Brown, McGinn etc.
  7. Yeah, was used early on in the season, mainly off the bench, scored away to the Andorran farmers but it must have been a bad injury, not been seen for months.
  8. This is pretty much bang on. I’m not on board with the absolute refusal to test come what may, I did a fair few over Christmas/New Year as I was around some very elderly family members regularly but now that’s finished I’ll be doing mine only before visiting said family members. The daily testing some people do for simply sitting in their house, going to Lidl etc is total madness. Its a total waste of money (which we’ll have to pay back in taxes for the rest of our lives no doubt) and it’s shocking for the planet, these are all non recyclable, the fact no one in the media even mentions this is a huge concern, although having said that, I don’t think many MP’s or people in the media really give a toss.
  9. What a tournament that was, the final, yeah it wasn’t the same standard as we’ve seen in previous rounds but you’ve got to expect nerves come into play. Obviously even ignoring the “Scotland get battered” stuff which is pleasing to get it right up the Keith’s and Clive’s in that crowd but Peter Wright is just downright a better guy than Smith, even if Smith was from Inverness and Wright was from Chelsea I think I would have wanted Wright to win. Smith has reached 6 televised finals, and 12 televised semi finals and has a grand total of 0 televised titles, the guy is the biggest bottler known to man, yet consistently moaned to the press when he got dropped from the premier league, the guy is a cock and his tears on the stage were music to my ears. It really was lovely to see the crowd clearly muted for the trophy being lifted, I do really hope the folk who shelled out hundreds for tickets had their night ruined by a good West Lothian man.
  10. Suspect he’d be used as a right centre back as part of a 3 but as we’ve seen from the likes of Hanlon, Porteous, Ambrose and even McGinn over the past few years that doesn’t limit his ability to go forward too much. These 2 random Norwegian players are really exciting too, even if he ends up being shite, us spending £300k on a 19 year old is exciting as f**k.
  11. A bit annoyed by that last match, delighted to see Wright beat that wee dick but as someone who used to hate Price, based on this crowd, any English players getting through is bad news, but not even just that, Michael Smith is a total arsehole, mouthing off to the press last year about not getting a premier league place, he’s still yet to win a televised event ffs, guys an arrogant c**t with 0 to back it up, he may well go onto this one but honestly at this stage would rather anyone but him. Hoping to see Anderson do it, would be great for him to roll back the years but failing that Wright will do nicely. Yeah I’m a pretty regular watcher, unless it interferes with football, or if I’m not watching I keep up to date with scores. Nothing gets the excitement pumping like the worlds though, the best there is.
  12. Brilliant from Anderson there, just always hits the doubles when it matters, great to watch!
  13. That second half was a lot better, Maloneyball appears to be taking shape and it actually looks like it’s gonna be quite entertaining, I look forward to going through and bumping all the posts about how we should have kept Jack Ross’ snoozeball.
  14. Miles offside but we were definitely due getting a decision. We’ve been good in terms of our press when we don’t have the ball, Utd have hardly had a kick, the problem is when we have it we just move it so slowly, can’t imagine this is something Maloney will like though and hopefully he’s able to improve that.
  15. I swear the crowd problem never used to be like this, I’ve been before and never really heard anything questionable. Soots earlier was tremendous, really enjoyed that match, Jose De Sousa wasn’t great earlier either so I wouldn’t put it past him to cause him bother if he plays like the way he finished that game, having said that Suljovic has serious problems with his bottle, how many times have we seen him totally fold on the big stage? The Jack Ross of darts amarite?
  16. Another night of good games, really enjoying this tournament. Although as others have said, the crowd is absolutely tedious.
  17. The thing that I think has annoyed me above all over this whole pandemic is the fact she announces that there is going to be a briefing. Why not just come out with it straight away? These are the rules, this is when it takes effect. Instead of fucking acting like it’s an episode of I’m a fucking celebrity keeping us all in suspense. Does she have any idea, or for that matter, give a toss what that does to peoples’ anxiety levels? If she really hates this as much as everyone else and wants this to be over as much as we do then why does she act all Dermot fucking O’Leary about it? It is sooo sick and twisted.
  18. Got my booster for the 5th of January, only goes to 3 months since my 2nd jag on the 28th of December and am I f**k getting floored by my jag for the 3rd time over the holiday period. On company time thanks very much, hope they don’t give me bloody Moderna again cause it hit me harder than the last episode of The Office (US)
  19. Bloody hell, the most 0-0, 1-0 win I’ve ever attended, that honestly felt like a pre-season friendly, if McMullan didn’t decide to randomly go all Alan Shearer then it would have been a bore draw. Newell man of the match was a good laugh, no one deserved it, we were dull as dishwater, I would have given it to McMullan for his contribution, we have absolutely no chance in the final unless Maloney can get some form of reaction from them. Nisbet and Cadden both subbed off injured too, neither have had good seasons but we really have very little depth and it’s a real concern for Sunday. For all my Hibs slander, Dundee never really troubled us once, which given our total lack of impetus and intensity is a concern for them. The highlight however, was 10 mins or so after the match, I live in the close proximity to Easter Road and due to this I need to move my car from my street for home games as my street is used for disabled parking. I went up to my flat after the game and after the (limited) traffic had passed I went to go and bring the car back round to my street. When I went back out, I heard shouting and arguing on the street and wondered if there was a few drunk fans lingering and arguing but nope, it was two G4S stewards in hi vis shouting arguing with eachother being pulled apart by colleagues , might I say, cinchsational? Dave Armstrong is honestly the worst commentator ever, the games he commentated last season made me miss going to football more than anything. I remember him calling Dundee Utd Dundee, guy knows nothing about football whatsoever.
  20. Heard your das raging we went for a young up and coming manager instead of a man that “gets it” like Lenny or Yogi
  21. I’m fine with that. Much prefer that to the likes of McInnes, Lennon etc. Have managed to get success bringing in young coaches with good reputations before so hopefully it continues.
