  1. "divert attention from OR mitigate the Needham incident". If that's not the case, I've no idea what other reason you would have to bring up completely separate incidents in this discussion.
  2. I believe the only reason you would highlight those separate incidents in the context of this discussion is an attempt to divert attention from or mitigate the Needham incident. That's what I'd consider to be whataboutery. I'm often guilty of it myself.
  3. And you've since went on to bring up the behaviour of Rangers fans when celebrating our title win, called for Rangers to condemn twitter posts by the fans and then referenced The Famine Song incident... 4 instances in total of you trying to divert focus onto issues surrounding Rangers. But that's not whataboutery? Additionally, you then went on to claim there would be "wall to wall eye-bleeding whataboutery" after a poster mentioned that due to the news of Walter Smith passing then there would be an opportunity to deal with the matter quietly. I just don't understand your logic.
  4. What on earth are you talking about? You've been the biggest culprit of whataboutery throughout this whole debate.
  5. If anyone feels inclined to tune in, McCoist is currently paying tribute to Smith on TalkSport. It may be ending just now but very touching words.
  6. Devastating news. An absolute footballing hero of mine. Rest in Peace, Walter Smith.
  7. Are you saying they don't chant it? Or are you getting at something else?
  8. What do you feel has been said by Rangers fans here that is unreasonable?
  9. I think it depends on the situation. The rule is in place to presumably avoid unsavoury instances such as this. Is it really much of a dangerous precedent to set for a senior club official to get a slap on the wrist for tweeting that they hoped a bridge collapsed under opposition fans?
  10. I'll engage in your whataboutery for a second: I'd imagine there was no investigation because those comments were made prior to him becoming employed at Rangers? At least one the tweets by Needham were made while he was an active board member at St Mirren. That may explain the different approaches.
  11. Reading the article, it speculates that Needham may fall foul of the following rule: “A recognised football body, club, official, team official, other member of team staff, player, match official or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall, at all times, act in the best interests of Association Football. “Furthermore such person or body shall not act in any manner which is improper or use any one, or a combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour.” I don't think anyone has suggested what he said is illegal, just ill-advised.
  12. It’s absolutely incredible that NBM have somehow flipped this whole scenario. Rather than criticise the actual tweets sent by the St Mirren chairman, they’re merely acknowledging them and suggesting young people need to be educated, rather than the actual culprit No condemnation whatsoever shows how spineless and one sided this whole effort is. It's also surprising to see an organisation refer to a term that they themselves claim on their website to be sectarian, are now changing its definition to "derogatory". What an absolute shower. You can send bad tweets but as long as you make a donation to charity, all is forgiven...
  13. 26 goals in 34 starts for Roofe now as well, 50 appearances overall. Reinforces my belief that Roofe and Morelos must start together in 90% of our matches.
  14. Absolutely bodied by one of your own players when trying to celebrate with them
  15. @G51’s word carries a lot of weight. Total boycott after his scathing review.
  16. I went to a Chiquitos for a work Christmas dinner one year. Providing us with sombreros and fake moustaches to wear was the highlight of the evening.
  17. Folk that take any pleasure in fighting at the football or seeing other folk hurt are, quite simply, wee guys with a complex.
  18. He could definitely be doing with losing a pound or two. He looks stick thin in those clips of seasons gone by in comparison to now.
