  1. Hmmm, the gig has been cancelled due to "unforseen circumstances". ☹
  2. I've read (and enjoyed) the book but didn't realise this was based on the book. When I saw the trailer it reminded me of the book but I thought it looked dreadful and, as you say, OTT. Decent reviews on here though so I might give it a go. It's slightly OTT and they do play hard and fast with the truth... but it's entertaining and amusing.
  3. I watched the first episode on Beeb 1 on Sunday. Really enjoyed it. I'm away to start a binge on the iPlayer.
  4. Just a heads up if anybody is interested... Sault have released 5 albums today, they're available as free downloads on their website for 5 days. Link here You need a password to access the downloads. The password is "godislove".
  5. Just booked a ticket for the Elvana gig in Dundee in a few weeks. A Nirvana tribute act fronted by an Elvis impersonator. This could be the best thing ever, or it could just as easily be the worst thing ever...
  6. I just watched the first episode of SAS Rogue Heroes on BBC1. It was quite entertaining and amusing. I reckon I'll stick with it.
  7. The Janice Graham Band Fat White Family Mothermary Peat & Diesel LYLO
  8. Allowing your children to run around in cafes or restaurants.
  9. I love Steel Pulse. The Handsworth Revolution is one of the greatest reggae albums IMO.
  10. I don't mind Frankfurt. I reckon that the skyscrapers look pretty cool. It is absolutely crawling with junkies though. When I was there I walked round a corner and very nearly tripped over two guys who were sitting on the pavement in broad daylight casually shooting up.
  11. Just booked a ticket for The Pale Waves at Fattie's in Dundee on 28th Nov.
  12. Elgin City have been stranded in the 4th tier since they were elected into the league in 2000.
  13. Love the Grace Jones sample in this track....
  14. I'm a huge fan of this film. There was an American remake a few years ago, called The Jesus Rolls, starring John Turturro, playing the same character that he plays in The Big Lebowski. Audrey Tautou is in the Miou Miou role. It is terrible.
  15. This gives me the fear. We do have a pretty pish record against non-league teams it must be said.
  16. Generosity is our middle name. Here's the highlights in glorious Technicolor...
  17. Yeah, we were solid at the back and we took our goals well.
  18. Just booked a ticket for Saul Adamczewski at Beat Generator in Dundee in November. Should be good...
  19. Looking forward to this. It's always good to play a team with a healthy travelling support. I don't think that anyone has pointed out yet that our first ever game in front of the new stand was a 6 nil tanking by The Pars in the league cup back in 1992.
  20. I just saw The Cure at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin. Twilight sad were the support act, and they were astonishingly pish. Most of their songs were instantly forgettable, apart from one that had a chorus that went something like "fucking someone won't keep you warm at night". I nearly cringed myself inside out when I heard that. It was the most embarrassing lyric that I have ever heard. The Cure were immense though. They must have played for the best part of three hours. They did every tune from Disintegration along with a selection of their various chart hits. Robert Smith must be drawing a pension by now, but he still has it.
  21. Let's talk about Paul Weller. Clearly a talented musician and song writer, a bit of a style icon and a hero to thousands if not millions of adoring fans... But his tunes are all a bit too "meh"...
