  1. Edinburgh University 1-3 Berwick Rangers (1-0 HT) @ East Peffermill . 7.45pm. 22.08.23. Lowland League. The home side ahead inside 30 seconds but a 2nd half Liam Buchanan hat-trick ️️️ (his 1st a penalty and red card ) turned it round for the visitors. Crowd 161.
  2. Heart of Midlothian 4-0 Partick Thistle (2-0 HT) @ Tynecastle Park . Viaplay Cup R16. 2pm. 20.08.23. Hearts stroll past a poor Thistle side with a headed 2nd ️ on the stroke of half time knocking the stuff out them. Great following through from Glasgow. Crowd 12,841.
  3. Heart of Midlothian 3-1 Rosenborg (1-1 HT) @ Tynecastle Park (4-3 on Agg). UEFA Conference League 3rd QR. 7.45pm. 17.08.23. Famous European night as Hearts concede early on before coming back to win the tie in added time. Scenes in the home end . Crowd 17,455 (I think).
  4. Arniston Rangers 0-0 Lochore Welfare @ Newbyres Park . 7pm. 16.08.23. EOSFL Div 1. The home side with the best chances but Lochore competed well, despite going down to 10 men around the hour mark. Arniston did too late on when their keeper prevented a near certain winner. Crowd 87.
  5. Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool (1-1 HT) @ Stamford Bridge . Premier League. 4.30pm. 13.08.23. Liverpool started well and took the lead before Chelsea levelled and were on top for much of the 2nd half before almost losing it. Both sides had goals disallowed by VAR after scoring. Crowd 40,096.
  6. Baiteze Squad 2-2 South East Dons (2-2 HT) @ Mayesbrook Lodge . El Classico. 10.30am. 13.08.23. Great entertainment between 2 good London Sunday League sides. Both had chances to win it late on in a frantic finish but it finished honours even. Crowd 425 .
  7. Vale of Leithen 1-4 Oakley United (1-2 HT) @ Victoria Park . EOSFL Division 1. 2.30pm. 13.08.23. Meeting of 2 sides relegated last season and still to get off the mark in 2023-24. Vale ahead early on but Oakley led 2-1 at the break and punished ️️ the hosts late on. Crowd 57.
  8. Hibernian 3-1 FC Luzern(0-0 HT) @ Easter Road Stadium . UEFA Conference League 3rd QR. 7.30pm. 11.08.23. Cagey 1st half followed by a brilliant 2nd 45. Luzern levelled shortly after going behind but Hibs got back in front and take a 2 goal lead to Switzerland. Crowd 13,075.
  9. Dunipace 1-1 Vale of Leithen (0-0 HT) AET (4-2 on pens) @ Beechwood Park , Sauchie. EOS Qualifying Cup R2. 7.30pm. 10.08.23. Marathon cup tie with a battling Vale performance pushing Dunipace all the way. 2 efforts over the bar in the shootout the difference. Crowd 101.
  10. Linton Hotspur 0-7 Pumpherston (0-5 HT) @ New Moor Road . 08.08.23. Great to see LH admitted to the East of Scotland League (Division 3) this summer. NMP really looking the part. Hotspur missed an early penalty and the visitors went on to secure a big away win. Crowd 151.
  11. Liverpool 3-1 SV Darmstadt (2-1 HT) @ Deepdale . 07.08.23. Jurgen Klopp’s side were 2-0 up inside 8 minutes. The visitors pulled one back but a third from Luis Diaz sealed the win. Ben Doak excellent in the last 25 mins . Crowd 19,000.
  12. Hibernian 2-3 St Mirren (0-2 HT) @ Easter Road Stadium . cinch Premiership . 3pm. 06.08.23. Great game on Sunday. A VAR awarded penalty set St Mirren on their way but Hibs fought back only to then concede in the 89th minute. Scenes in the away end . Crowd 17,586.
  13. Lochore Welfare 4-1 Vale of Leithen (2-1 HT) @ Central Park . 2.30pm. 05.08.23. EOSFL Div 1. The visitors levelled having trailed early on but conceded from a corner on the stroke of half time. They were reduced to 10 men on 52 mins and Lochore ran out comfortable winners. Crowd 61.
  14. Hibernian 6-1 Inter Club d‘Escaldes (3-0 HT) @ Easter Road Stadium . 7.15pm. 03.07.23. UEFA Conference League 2nd Qualifying Round 2nd Leg. Big win for Hibs who overturned last weeks 2-1 defeat in Andorra with an impressive display to progress 7-3 on aggregate. Crowd 13,814.
  15. Penicuik Athletic 3-2 Hutchison Vale (2-0 HT) @ Montgomery Park . 7.30pm. 01.08.23. Two sides who won their opening day EOSFL Premier Division matches and it was the home side who made it 2/2 holding off Hutchie who twice pulled themselves back within a goal. Crowd around 250.

  18. Vale of Leithen 2-4 Kirkcaldy & Dysart (0-2 HT) @ Victoria Park . 2.30pm. 29.07.23. The visitors 2-0 up and cruising with the Vale then (harshly) reduced to 10 men after 25 mins. They dug in and pulled it back to 2-2 in the 2nd half but Kirkcaldy won it with 2 late goals. Crowd 51.

  21. Vale of Leithen 1-5 Edinburgh United (1-3 HT) @ Victoria Park . 25.07.23. 7.30pm. Impressive from United who run out convincing winners in this final pre-season friendly for both. Vale with a lot of work to do as they look to avoid a third successive relegation . Crowd 45.
  22. Kirknewton CFC 4-4 Burnside Athletic (2-1 HT) @ Kirknewton Park . 11am. 23.07.23. Really entertaining pre-season friendly between LEAFA Sunday Morning Premier & 1st Division. Burnside looked to have come back to win it before a late equaliser . Crowd 39.
  23. Cowdenbeath 1-1 Montrose (4-5 on pens) @ Central Park . 3pm. 22.07.23. Viaplay Cup Group H. Goalless after an hour, Montrose broke ️ the deadlock but the Blue Brazil were really impressive and deservedly levelled from the spot. They saw a penalty to win the shoot saved. Crowd 303.
  24. Pollok 1-1 Dundee United B (4-2 on pens) @ Albyn Park . 22.07.23. Broxburn 75th Anniversary Trophy SF. 1pm. Pollok ahead shortly before half time. United levelled in the 2nd half. Both had chances to win it but it took penalty kicks ️ to decide it. Crowd 177.
  25. Vale of Leithen 2-2 Kirknewton CFC @ Victoria Park . 7.30pm. 21.07.23. Pre-season friendly match. Vale ahead after ⏱ 40 seconds and would lead again at half-time with the visitors levelling both times. Crowd 50.
