  1. Heart of Midlothian 2-2 Ross County (0-1 HT) @ Tynecastle Park . 3pm. With the weather wiping out the local non league card stayed local. A good game with County impressive (Yan Dhanda ) and led 2-0 until a late comeback from Hearts earned them a point. Crowd 18,288.
  2. Hibernian 0-1 Heart of Midlothian (0-0 HT) @ Easter Road Stadium . 27.12.23. 8pm. Both sides missed penalties following handballs inside the first 15 minutes and it was a tight one until Lawrence Shankland won it in added time. Scenes in the away end . Crowd 20,150.
  3. Burnley 0-2 Liverpool (0-1 HT) @ Turf Moor . Premier League. Boxing Day 5.30pm. Nunez with a brilliant opener as Liverpool dominated for an hour but after 2 VAR disallowed goals made hard work of it until Jota sealed it in injury time. Crowd 21,624.
  4. Padiham 5-1 Ramsbottom United (3-0 HT) @ The Ruby Civil Arena . North West Counties League, Premier Division. Boxing Day 3pm. The home side opened the scoring after 12 minutes and never looked back to move clear of the visitors and up the table. Crowd 337.
  5. Unfortunately it will still sell out instantly. Your best bet is to ask around and find someone who qualifies for a couple of tickets and isn’t going. You could buy yourself and son a membership but you’d need to be on it to pick up tickets in the all members sake. Hospitality is an option but not cheap. I’d help but afraid I’ve got a list as long as my arm of people who take my spares.
  6. To be fair to them there’s little to get excited about in Middlesbrough. Hope I’m wrong but expect Chelsea as bad as they are to comfortably turn it round in 2 weeks. All to play for in the other semi too. Liverpool struggled for a long time but ended up being a bit frustrated it wasn’t 3/4-1 and all but in the final.
  7. Helped by removing a round of fixtures over Christmas and a break after for Premier League clubs.
  8. Was excellent on loan at Bolton last season but an injury in pre-season has hampered his progress. Did well in his 15 minutes or so. Good day out yesterday - fair play to Arsenal only £11 for kids.
  9. You are just forgetting what things were like pre Jurgen Klopp. Take us back to Nabil El Zhar as first sub under Rafa. It was only 18 months ago that Liverpool were 2 games away from winning all 4 competitions. Jota, Gakpo, Gravenberch and Mac Allister not bad subs last night.
  10. Final is Sunday 18th February. Venue and kick-off time TBC. Bo’ness Athletic v Heriot-Watt University
  11. Thought he was excellent yesterday.
  12. Todays Bonnyrigg Rose v Forfar Athletic paperwork …
  13. Luton Town 1-1 Liverpool (0-0) @ Kenilworth Road . 4.30pm. 5.11.23. Premier League. The visitors not really at it as Luton frustrated them. After Nunez missed a sitter the hosts snatched the lead (80) before Luiz Diaz rescued a point for the Reds late on ⏱ (90+5). Crowd 11,049.
  14. Edinburgh Community 0-2 Lochgelly Albert (0-1 HT) @ St Marks Park . 4.11.23. EOSFL 3rd Division. 2pm. The visitors ahead ️ after only 5 minutes and hold on thanks to good defending / goalkeeping and a bit of luck before sealing the win in stoppage time. Crowd 57.
  15. Heart of Midlothian B 0-1 University of Stirling (0-1 HT) @ Ainslie Park Stadium . 3.11.23. 7.45pm. Lowland League. A 1st half penalty ️ gave the visitors a deserved win in the capital. The students continue to climb the table as the young Hearts miss the chance to go top. Crowd 200.
  16. Guess what was seen as the best stadium in England 20 years ago has now been far surpassed and looks pretty scruffy. The away end is pretty horrific. Seats put on old concrete steps that are way too high. Sat in the SAF stand for the FA Cup semi in 2006 and remember it being a bit better but guess that’ll have aged now too.
  17. I somehow don’t think Jurgen Klopp needs to get the Liverpool fans onside.
  18. Lol I don’t think these types on twitter are the best gauge. Putting all the controversy aside going down there yesterday was worried lose to an inform Spurs side and Man City could end the day 5 points clear. Gap still just 2 and feel further convinced that Liverpool are the real deal again despite the loss as with 11 / 10 & 9 men they were impressive.
  19. Newcastle United 1-2 Liverpool (1-0 HT) @ St James Park . Premier League. 4.30pm. Newcastle ahead in the 1st half with Virgil Van Djik sent off just after. Liverpool hang in the game before somehow Darwin Nunez scored twice late on . Crowd 52,214.
  20. Rosyth 6-0 Vale of Leithen (2-0 HT) @ Fleet Grounds . EOSFL 1st Division. 2.30pm. 26.08.23. A hard fought opening half hour but a quick fire double had the home side 2 and they never looked back. Rosyth move up the table 6 points clear of the Vale who are in bottom spot. Crowd 49.
  21. Heart of Midlothian 1-2 PAOK Salonika (1-1 HT) @ Tynecastle Park . UEFA ECL Play-Off 1st Leg. 7.45pm. 24.08.23. Both sides scored from the penalty spot in a frantic start but the visitors won it scoring movements after a Hearts goal was disallowed by VAR . Crowd 17,409.
  22. Hibernian 0-5 Aston Villa (0-3 HT) @ Easter Road Stadium . UEFA ECL Play-Off 1st Leg. 5.45pm. 23.08.23. The visitors far too strong for Hibs with an Ollie Watkins hat-trick ️️️ securing a huge lead to take into next weeks 2nd Leg at Villa Park. A sold out crowd of 19,306.
  23. Edinburgh University 1-3 Berwick Rangers (1-0 HT) @ East Peffermill . 7.45pm. 22.08.23. Lowland League. The home side ahead inside 30 seconds but a 2nd half Liam Buchanan hat-trick ️️️ (his 1st a penalty and red card ) turned it round for the visitors. Crowd 161.
  24. Heart of Midlothian 4-0 Partick Thistle (2-0 HT) @ Tynecastle Park . Viaplay Cup R16. 2pm. 20.08.23. Hearts stroll past a poor Thistle side with a headed 2nd ️ on the stroke of half time knocking the stuff out them. Great following through from Glasgow. Crowd 12,841.
