I headed along to Edinburgh Eagles 20-30 Saddleworth Rangers yesterday in the Challenge Cup at the Royal HS at 1.15pm so just headed after to ... Spartans 3-0 Edinburgh University @ Ainslie Park Stadium . A very comfortable 3 Lowland League points for the title chasing home side. 1-0 up at the break, 2 more followed in the 2nd half and only some good saves from the Uni keeper prevented more. Crowd 150.

Edinburgh Uni are very consistent programme issuers. Only 4 pages these days it used to be more but still good to get something. I made it along today to the programme fair it was really good and the organisers seemed happy with the turnout. It was the first programme fair in Edinburgh for 15 years. Could see it bring an annual thing at Parkside Bowling Club. Great to see the hobby still alive and kicking.

Carlisle United 5-1 Barrow @ Brunton Park . Sky Bet League 2. A brilliant night under the lights. A tight first half ended with on form United breaking the deadlock . They ran riot in the 2nd half to win big in the Cumbrian Classico and move into 3rd place. Crowd 9351.
