  1. We have kicking on. Brilliant. Still not convinced by the management team. Neither am I by the Falkirk staff. Cove probably the team we are competing with
  2. Tonight has put the final nail in the coffin. I have said this several times. We are a full-time football team playing in a league of full-time workers. & now find ourselves fighting for a 3rd / 4th place playoff spot. The blame falls on McCall, backroom staff and board. Under the current regime, we have been relegated to league one; before that, we sat firmly rooted at the bottom of the championship with no shifting chance. We have won a total of 5 games from 14, a whopping 35% win record. Even under Caldwell, we were much better; we looked fitter and looked like we wanted to play. I would take Caldwell cluster** over this. Our players are not fit. There is no excuse. East Fife ran over the top of us for most of the game. The week before, Forfar did the same. (I'll take their fitness training over ours). Our team is unorganised; I think that many players looked out of their depth considering they are full time playing against part-timers. But I generally believe it's not the players. It's the message that is being delivered to the players. How many players have left us under Archie & McCall and performing well. Been hall is a few games from winning the league and promotion (that's one example). Our staff aren't good; we have a washed-up assistance manager who couldn't get a gig in Scottish football as a manager until his mate brought him back as an assistant. Scally doesn't fill me with confidence either. I'm not sure what purpose he provides. Is it training, opposition analysis, or is he there to pick up a wage because he is good mates with McCall McCall isn't a good manager. Let's all be honest here. He is living on the reputation of a good ayr united team, who when he left was on a downwards spiral. I must also point out that McCall had to get them relegated to get them promotion on the last day of the season. Again he had a squad of full-timers and scraped the league on the last day of the season. I still can't believe fans on the PTFC fans forum have suggested McCall as footballing director. (steaming). The board is nothing to jump and short about either. Our downfall and collapse can be pinpointed to two specific situations—the hiring of Gerry. And the chaos that kicked of our relegation to league 1. Which was our summer takeover (it didn't happen). On that, Can anyone answer me? How can a football club expect to prosper when they pull 250000 from a mangers budget halfway into a transfer window and preseason. Then put obstacles in front of that manager to block success. Sack the same manger after four games. Hire another manager, go through another rebuilding job, and take the club in a different direction. That direction was league 1. The answer. No club can. Our scouting system is non-existent? McCall has signed journeymen, people he knows or previous fan favourites for some popularity. Can anyone see a pattern here? We are a shambles of a club top to bottom. Get every one of them out of the club before we end up in the lowland league.
  3. Glad we all now know that McCall and co are to blame then.
  4. McCall needs punted, p45 at the ready please. Im sick to the back teeth with excuses and the COVID-19 situation that the McCall faithful continue to bring up. the guy has assembled a very poor full time squad, that unfortunately are just competing in league 1. it was the wrong appointment from day one. if anyone wants to defend this diabolical performance. Ask yourself the question. what club would want McCall as their manager? Zero in the PL, zero in the championship & maybe 1 in league 1. Lastly, For a team that has made 6 changes, and therefore should be relatively fresh. Forfar actually looked more up for the game, looked quicker and fitter. There starting 11 only had 2/3 changes, a reserve goaly and the players all probably were working yesterday and today. get McCall, Archie, Scall & the rest to F***.
  5. It’s irrelevant being good mates with McDonald. Caldwell kept us up under a very difficult situation & having to rebuild a dud squad. I actually don’t think McCall could have done that. On your theory he wouldn’t have because he isn’t mates with McDonald But I do also kinda agree, the right decision was to move Caldwell on. Should have been done after the last day of the season and we should have recruited a more fitting manage than McCall. Let’s be honest here. McCall has been nothing but brutal for us. It’s an unpopular opinion among us jags. But he has been dreadful. & in all honesty there is no excuse for him. It’s his squad of full time players that he signed. (not having covid as an excuse either, same constraint for every other manager). Imo If he doesn’t win the league (looks very unrealistic at the moment), or promotion through play offs (if we get that far). Then his performance as a manager is worse than Caldwell’s
  6. I said the same thing last year, before the start of the season and only a few weeks ago. 1/ every club in Scotland has had injuries but our list is a shambles. 2/ Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out the combination of McCall & Archie training methods is a cocktail for disaster. Look at our historical injury record under Archie & McCall’s at Ayr. Is frightening. Plus we have an inexperienced sports science guy from the academy working with the player that’s probably a disaster to 3/ As someone being punted, I think the old physio got the early taxi home. Heard she’s was absolutely hopeless at her job. Prob cost us in the long run. Good news, mew guy from rangers is our new physio. 4/ our players are soft as
  7. Probably it his golf clubs out chipping the ball from one side of the pitch to the other. (And btw that did happen at a previous club)
  8. The bus stops with McCall, Archie, Beattie, Gerry & CO. jobs for the boys and bringing your pals back has been nothing but a disaster. Full new management team brought in, for what I imagine was the aim for the playoffs & promotion. Managed to get relegated of the back. Now in league 1 with exceptions of winning the league, may not even get into the play-offs at this rate. Results v Part timers only paper over the cracks. The reality is that we are a god awful team, with a dreadful manager. Our squad of full times players and management team with probably biggest budget in the league can’t beat a few part time clubs, who’s players are out grafting during the. Same S**** last year, same S**** this year. Common dominator mentioned above, along with the players.
  9. I noticed we are recruitment for another physio. Has the old one left/taxied home. Or are we needing another one with the amount of injuries we have had?
  10. Our top Class medical team doing a bang up job as usual. Taxi please.
  11. Have these injuries been confirmed by the club? I can’t see anything online? worrying time if they are.
  12. Point taken. But with medical team I was also talking about the academy fitness coach we have had in on a full time basis. But let’s not get drawn in by McCall’s comments about fitness. He is a manger of a football team, with 2 assistants Sport science the lot. & after 10+ training & friendly games, for him to come out and say a player isn’t fit. For me that just screens incompetent. It’s the exact same for all other teams in our league & players. Hate to keep in saying this but we are a full time team with full time training methods, and full time athletes. So I’m not buying players are not fit. If they aren’t fit then there is serious concerns moving forward.
  13. Maybe Caldwell was into something last year, when he was trying to punt them.
  14. He has had the best part of 10 weeks to get fit then. So is McCall to blame with his training methods? So your logic is miles off.
  15. How can he not be be fit.... if that’s true the medical team need punted.
