  1. The only thing that really matters. Unlucky @Swarley, if your team had been good enough to more than only just get past my awful team, it might have been different!
  2. For a testimonial, that was an entertaining watch this afternoon. Delighted to see a good turnout, and to be able to give the man the send off he deserves. We’ll never see another like him.
  3. Every year I say to myself I’ll enter this. Every January I spot the thread and remember I’ve missed it again. Ah well, next year.
  4. Apparently the groundstaff forgot to water the square after applying fertiliser, resulting in a scorched square. I’d be pissed off if that happened at my village club, never mind at a test venue
  5. Bit of a spicy pitch at Cape Town for the second test between South Africa and India. SA chose to bat and were then dismissed for 55 in 23.2 overs. India were going ok after 33 overs at 153-4. 11 balls later they were all out without adding another run. 6 wickets lost on the same score is a new record.
  6. Unbelievable darts from the young man. It’s ludicrous stuff
  7. Littler looks a little rattled, and then he’s right back in the set…
  8. The number of good guys (and girls) vastly outweighs the roasters in here, which is why I spend far too many hours of every day browsing the forum. The depression, pregnancy and parenting, and living with cancer threads are the best threads on here, full of support and where the wind up nature of other parts of the forum isn’t tolerated. I enjoy discussions on Queens on here, @19QOS19 @Monkey Tennis @MONKMAN @Distant Doonhamer @qos_75 @Swarley are the pick of the good guys, and I miss @Skyline Drifter’s contributions to club discussions, but I can completely understand why he’s stopped getting involved, we do have a few complete roasters as well. There are great folks everywhere here, which is why I’ve continued posting here for over half of my life now. I hope we’re still here in another 17 years.
  9. 82.8kg this morning. First goal is to get under 80, then it’ll be 75 and reassess. I’m at the point where I can feel my man tits resting on the skin below, that needs sorted.
  10. I enjoy New Year. Went up to friends in Aberfeldy for Hogmanay, just spent it in the house then enjoyed the fireworks display over the town at the bells. They have a street party in the square at Aberfeldy, but my youngest is just a bit too young for that yet, it looked decent though. The kids enjoyed staying up late and had a great time. Today I then had family over for the traditional steak pie dinner, which was great.
  11. Putting it on the fridge rather than in it would be pretty cunty, tbf
  12. It was another game between two poor sides, but with 3 very good goals. From the terrace I was convinced it should have been an Annan penalty late on, but I also thought we had a good shout for a penalty in the first half for handball given that the hand was above head height. Thought Church and then Todd both did very well out of position at CB. Our midfield was very poor, McKay and Cochrane were both missed in there.
  13. Can see Littler winning it all. Unbelievable stuff.
  14. Looking forward to this, despite feeling like we’re going to drop points. McKay dropping back in to defence weakens us in both defence and midfield, but I can’t see what the other options are. It’s not ideal.
  15. Christmas Eve pizzas. A fairly simple pepperoni, onion and green chilli effort for me, with garlic pizza bread in the background. Magnificent.
  16. I reckon first to Joshua, second pretty even
  17. I watched it, it was indeed a bit mental. Salt was fantastic with the bat (again), though he had the gloves in the second innings and looked pretty ropey with them, it has to be said. Good to see Buttler finding a bit of form with back to back 50s, he still looks a good bit short of his best, though.
  18. Yeah, I offered a draw when we went down to 5 pawns and a king each, and the analysis said it was dead even at that point, but then you allowed me the advantage from there and I managed to hold on.
