  1. Christmas Eve pizzas. A fairly simple pepperoni, onion and green chilli effort for me, with garlic pizza bread in the background. Magnificent.
  2. I reckon first to Joshua, second pretty even
  3. I watched it, it was indeed a bit mental. Salt was fantastic with the bat (again), though he had the gloves in the second innings and looked pretty ropey with them, it has to be said. Good to see Buttler finding a bit of form with back to back 50s, he still looks a good bit short of his best, though.
  4. Yeah, I offered a draw when we went down to 5 pawns and a king each, and the analysis said it was dead even at that point, but then you allowed me the advantage from there and I managed to hold on.
  5. I think that’s the last time we played at Stirling, from what I can see. We shared a division that season (2010/11), but our last away game there was in the March, with the rearranged game taking place in April.
  6. Finally got my car back today after nearly 8 weeks in the garage. New timing chain, new turbo, and a bill at the thick end of £3k. At least it passed the MOT, though.
  7. It really should be the same again in terms of starting XI, and hopefully an opportunity to build the confidence. Would be very Queens to lose to what is essentially an U20 side, though.
  8. Second highest. The NFL commissioner earns more than the 4 mentioned there combined.
  9. Other than him playing a different team and formation… It was definitely Lee involved in all 4. Gibson did ok, looked fairly bright and had a few things that didn’t quite come off for him.
  10. Well, that was unexpected. Connelly was outstanding in that first half. The other standout for me, who is often criticised, was Paul McKay, I thought he was immense.
  11. I nearly typed out this qualification then decided against it. It’s my voice as I hear it, not how everyone else hears it (ie how it sounds on a recording).
  12. In another that finds the concept of not having an inner monologue bizarre. Do people really just have silence in their head at all times? Can’t get my head round that at all.
  13. Another defeat for me. Thought I played pretty well, and the analysis suggests it’s the best I’ve played since coming back to the league. My opponent, unfortunately for me, was flawless though. Very well played.
  14. I use this stuff from Aldi for garlic would recommend it
  15. I’m hopeful of getting down for a day or two at some point over the summer. Haven’t been to a Lancs game since the memorable Roses T20 game in 2018, but OT is always where I go to watch England. Considering taking a membership next year, but we’ll see on that. The game is in decent health up here, and isn’t actually riddled with racists from top to bottom like the media would have you believe. Cricket Scotland are bringing in a long overdue player registration system next year, which should allow them to get an accurate view of the numbers playing the game for the first time in a long while. It will be interesting to see those stats when they have them.
  16. Sounds like a tough time, hopefully he gets on top of everything soon. Have you thought about the Edinburgh job market? I know it then adds a bit of a commute, but should be something to suit you there somewhere, I’d think.
  17. Only 5? He probably survives that. Disappointing.
