  1. When I picked mine up today the girl told me that we got 650 and they were all sold. We are asking for more. Should be a gd day. Yes adult tickets are expensive but for families tickets are fairly priced imo.
  2. Yes that would work but I don't think the 2 Glasgow teams would agree as it's an extra 2 games v the daddy teams rather than a friendly v a so called big European team like rennes or somebody
  3. Minimum games 34 as 26 plus 6 then a semi home and away meaning 34. Yes I know that's really harsh but if we go to 14 and the bottom split is 8 then I'd imagine there would be 3 or 4 teams with nothing to play for after 26 games. Give and take is needed and I think the only teams against it would be Aberdeen based on recent performances as all other teams are a maybe for top 6. Just my opinion and i totally get how angry you would be if your team was denied a spot because of bottom 8 but as stated the thought of finishing 7th after split 15 to 20 points in front of bottom 2 with nothing to play for fills me with dread. Year before last motherwell had nothing to play for but we were lucky to have davy Turnbull to watch or it would have been boring as sin.
  4. They would not be giddy group stages as all points from original 26 games would stand going into group stages meaning bottom 2 teams would be in separate groups. The minimum games played would be 34 but if you wanted to get 2 extra for teams that lost in semi finals for euro spot or won in semi to avoid relegation then they could play meaning 36 games. Yes it would be harsh on teams in 5 or 6th place or even 4th if someone else won scottish cup but that is only negative I feel. Football is all about competition and this method imo gives every game meaning with something to play for.
  5. I dont know if anyone has seen what they do in austria which i feel would work here but there are obviously cons to it it goes like this 14 teams with a split after 2 games each meaning 26 games to the split of a top 6 and bottom 8. The big thing is the uefa spots with from next season we will have 5 so 1 of the uefa spots is kept for the winners of the bottom 8 which would be a big concession from clubs such as my own Motherwell as well as clubs who hope on a regular basis to get in top 6. Top 6 play each other home and away with uefa spots handed out to top 4 or 3 if someone outside top 4 or winners of bottom 8 wins Scottish cup. Bottom 8 split into 2 groups of 4 after 26 games so number 7,9,11,13 in 1 group and 8,10,12,14 in another with playing each other home and away meaning another 6 games. Top 2 in each group go into semi finals then final both home and away to get the europa league spot meaning maximum games 36 . Bottom 2 in each group play off home and away with their "semi final winners" safe from relegation with the 2 "semi final losers" going against each other with the losers automatically relegated with championship winners promoted and the losers in a play off with 2nd in championship to stay up. The benefits of this in bottom 8 would mean there would be no dead rubbers and create excitement as well as still as now 1 relegated and 1 in a play off with 2nd in championship. It would also end the farce of sometimes having to play a team 3 times at home or away as sometimes happens just now. Apologies if this has already been discussed as just new to the board.
