Hayes is probably the most likely bet for right-back if it is a four. The only other thing I can think of is that Mackenzie will be on the left of a three, but I don't know if he has ever played in that role before.

Yeah, a back three was my initial thought. Hayes as a full back is too much for my blood pressure at the moment. In which case it will be a four.

I'm not sure if this publicity drive will work in any shape or form.

    There are 3 facts here that are pretty much written in stone ;

-Aberdeen's 'potential support' is easily the 3rd biggest in Scotland. The 40k plus at Celtic Park confirms that.

-Aberdeen have, on a regular basis for years now, the 3rd biggest away support in Scotland.

-Taking into account the facts above, Aberdeen have a relatively poor home support...and always have. It would be astonishing if we could sell over 12k season tickets, as we've never done that in the past. Even in the 83/84 glory days, I still think we had around 8k season ticket holders.

Dave Cormack has fine ideas, but let's see how many of them actually come off.

Aye, average attendances were around the 15000 mark in Fergie's time. Was also during an oil boom.

I go to Paris, or did before Covid restrictions were applied, a couple of times each year with my work and then usually either bus it (if the railworkers are on strike) or take the cheap TGV to other parts of the country for gigs and fitba reasons.

I was going to see an Australian band called The Scientists at Petit Bain which is a boat venue on the Seine. Beforehand, I went for something eat and a beer in a nearby bar, and went into the toilets and the toilet was on a pedastal surrounded by a swarm of flies.  I felt like Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now, going mad in the tropics as I emptied my bowels whilst being eaten alive.

I've been to Lyon a couple of times but nothing to bad to report from there apart from my accommodation on one visit but that was my own fault as I chose cheaply.

If you visit  Marseille then you will see many rats scurrying about the place. The place must be infested because they just cannot keep a low profile there.

I've seen a few disgusting gig venue toilets in France but, to be honest, I'd be disappointed if they were in a good shape...

They don't believe in toilet seats the further south you go in Italy and in the train stations you are expected to squat over a hole in the ground in what passes for a toilet. Terrible place if you need a shit.

Much prefer the toilet obsessed Northern European countries and have always admired the pragmatism of the Dutch, especially in Amsterdam where they have metal partitions on the pavement that allow you to piss in the gutter.

The "Club Club" era was a long time ago, and they moved on from that round about the same time they got relegated, when they started hiring some competent people behind the scenes. However, my understanding is that Hibs recently got rid of the team behind that more competent social media output to replace it with people with a marketing background and no real knowledge of social media (or Hibernian FC, it would appear).

That's why their output has started to veer towards the embarrassing - even over the last month we've had some pathetic mewling about Kevin Nisbet not playing for Scotland, a heartfelt tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh, the scattergun use of GIFs and a general sense that it is being run by an eight year-old. This latest one capped it off though, how could you possibly work for Hibs and not know the significance of that?

Yep, the use of GIFs as a paid professional should get you posted to Siberia or at least a Court mandated Internet access ban.

Have also totally lost interest but perhaps unsurprising at this stage of season. Let's just get it over with, please.

Neither team can be as rotten as they have been these past couple of months can they?

Applying blind hope to Scottish football can only ever lead to unhappiness and the inevitable shit-fest.

Because that's the deal they signed.

I think when they first started doing the ALBA games years ago, BT Vision had the same deal with the SPL at the time to show one of the Old Firm at home in a full delayed format on demand from 7pm on Saturday. So ALBA's rights were for games not-involving the Old Firm, and I think that deal has just been continued ever since. It's a win for ALBA as they get more viewers than normal with football and it's a win for the SPFL as it's more money in the Prize Fund and ALBA produce the "world feed" to go to Sportscene for highlights and possibly be broadcast internationally/Club TV.

    Much obliged.

In return, as a thank you gesture, those not claiming a partial refund will be able to attend the first domestic cup match in front of fans for free and free entry to a celebratory friendly/legends match during the 2021/22 season on a date to be confirmed. Full information regarding this process can be found in our FAQs below

Any idea of the cash value (asking for some friends)?
