  1. Sokler let one bounce in our box on Saturday. It came to nothing as he pumped it out the park but my heart skipped a beat.
  2. I don't know how Jimmy Thelin will get on; however, we should just ensure that Peter Leven remains at the club. I know he wasn't keen on the gig full time; however, he's impressed and might one day be the man. That would certainly tick the succession planning box.
  3. Indeed, I was 'tired and emotional' when typing that post, it had been a long day although I did find Duk and Morris work rate infuriating at the game...they both seemed to be successfully avoiding any interaction with the ball. Although calling Duk a 'shitebag' was dramatic nonsense. For me, they along with Roos were the only players that disappointed me on Saturday. Roos for that incident with the cramp and giving his own inexperienced team mate a excruciatingly long wait to take his penalty, when he could've shuffled off to the side and then received treatment and delayed their next taker.
  4. Russell Anderson eventually carved out a career of being an excellent last ditch blocker and tackler after being caught out positionally. Gartenmann played a fine game yesterday epitomised by that beautiful take down and cross field pass he made to Hoilett for the third goal. I think his biggest problems this season have came when partnering with Jensen.
  5. I made the mistake of visiting 'The Hat' and it's a piley on Shayden Morris. I won't deny that he did nothing apart from one cross but that one effort was more than that shitebag Duk did on the whole 70 minutes he was on the park
  6. I was wrong, I didn't think Thelin was a remote possibility and I'm still slightly curious why he decided to make the move. I do hope he is now given a proper opportunity to build a squad over two or three seasons before we start judging him. However, I suppose most fans will back him even without immediate winning runs if we can see that he knows what he's doing, unlike the previous Cormack men.
  7. They could both be in Serie B by the time he arrives. It surprises me because I don't think he's good enough but I would view this interest as more the produce of the Lewis Ferguson effect with more Italian clubs thinking they can unearth a Scottish gem. I thought similar when Calvin Ramsey went to Liverpool for that ridculously over-inflated price for a lad that hadn't even proved himself at Aberdeen, and seemed to struggle to complete a full game. I put that down to the Andy Robertson effect (see also Nathan Patterson's move to Everton). It would be a hard gig for Barron in the lower reaches of Serie A.
  8. You will have turned to drink by the time you come to use the ST....I'm afraid 2024/25 will be another 'transitional season'. Although that might mean transitioning to a Championship club.
  9. When I were lad we all played 4-3-3 (right-back, left-back, centre-half, sweeper, right and left sided midfielders, centre mid, right and left wingers and a centre forward). It's everything you need in a formation, well balanced, defensive cover and attacking threat from both wings.
  10. Aberdeen won't pay the compo NI wants and O'Neill doesn't fancy it anyway, but he's quite happy for the speculation to continue to see if more interesting offers from other clubs appear as he puts out the signals that he wants to move back to club football. I really don't understand why there's still chatter about Michael O'Neill.
  11. I see there's still chatter that Michael O'Neil is the man that's "very close" ; however, I've heard that he wasn't interested...
  12. Similar to the Main Stand and the 'Derry', Jim Duffy looks virtually identical and unchanged to this day. Brown is an utter w@nk but he was a good player for Dundee until he decided to play the hard man at the deid club.
  13. I wouldn't be adverse to Neil per se; however, the indications are that his preferred choice would be to remain in England than come back up the road. I remember we had a previous manager who couldn't hide the fact that he would've liked to be elsewhere, when McGhee said he was waitng for the call from Celtic. I want a manager who really wants to come to Aberdeen, whether that reason is because they see us with potential as a stepping stone to bigger things or because they have plans to have success only at Aberdeen. I didn't think this at anytime up until the last couple of weeks, but in my humble opinion, the man that feels like he wants to come here for the right reasons (not out of desperation like Shree Hughes) is Tony Doc. However, I recognise that, given the inexperienced coaches that have failed recently, Cormack will probably want a tried and tested coach. For me though, leave it to Leven until the summer, but have an agreement with Tony Doc to take over in the summer. He just feels a good fit for the club and let him work and develop his squad over the next five years and stop this constant cycle of huge changes in both playing and coaching staff. Place some faith in Tony Doc and remain resolute even if he results begin patchy and fans start demanding change. I would hope that Leven is kept on by the new team. He's been thrown to the lions a couple of times this season but has coped well up to now.
  14. I don't for one moment believe the new manager will be Rosler; however, he doesn't seem to stick around long at each club his managerial journey takes him and I think the Scottish media would be in attack mode at any sniff of a reign in turmoil unless he managed to make friends and alliances quickly.
  15. The owner of the account is a woman. I don't think she particularly ITK but might get snippets. There's no chance Thelin will want it, Rosler would be gone within 12 months, and Neil would only take the job as a second choice to his preferred option of remaining in England. I find it hard to believe anyone actually knows what Cormack will do next, including the man himself.
  16. A group of the most radical P&B anti-VARites could head into the Highlands and live off the land as they gather support among the peasantry. Here they can then win minor skirmishes with Doncasterians and begin to move towards the beak HQ in Glasgow growing massive beards in the process. As they go, the radicals and peasantry are joined with the more mainstream anti-VARites (like the Clyde supporter above) and they can then enter Glasgow in Toyota pick ups to streets lined with cheering crowds as those promoting VAR are hung, drawn and quartered and their remains left on public show. The anti-VARites then usher in their own traditionalist leader, Commandante Bob Valentine.
  17. I'm taking defeat at Motherwell as a given so the club needs to do a big marketing campaign to get Pittodrie full for the Ross County match and the fans need to do their bit and attend. Then I would suggest to the club that they lay on free buses for the Livi match and try to pack out whatever Livi's ground is called that week. The players (or rather imposters) need to understand what is at stake here, and the only way we can do that as fans is by filling stadiums to capacity.
  18. MLK is the type of manager we need, hated in the south because they feared him...we haven't had a gaffer like that since Fergie
  19. I would scoff at the suggestion that people think there is a chance Neil Lennon will be the next Aberdeen manager but with our mad hatter of a chairman then anything is possible. When I first joined P&B I was heavily critical of all things Cormack but was shot down from all angles by my fellow Dons fans. The club has actually done better (if we forget Darvel for a moment) than I thought they would do under his 'guidance' which just goes to show how lowly I held the man. There's no point being critical now, everyone has full visibility on it. My only hope is that he can pass the club onto someone else sooner rather than later, and preferably before he gets the club relegated or does serious damage.
  20. I like the sound of this Heinz Herzog, and Cormack has also read your post and is sounding out his agent as we speak. I did a little digging and found this image Herzog, the new Luther Blisset by all accounts. KPS Neiweinhoffen is my new hipster team.
  21. I completely agree with everything you say apart from the bit that says "Rangers".
  22. I didn't realise until tonight how bloated (and I don't mean just Greg Stewart) the Kilmarnock squad is, old Delboy must be strecthing the resources a bit... After that guff the BBC put up on their site about a 'sliding doors moment' with McInnes leaving us and going to Killie, I really hope we pull our finger out tomorrow and win. Kilmarnock haven't been in a Scottish Cup semi-final since they won it and have never beaten us in the Scottish Cup...so if it happens tomorrow, I hope Warnock does the right thing and leaves the club with immediate effect. We're long due a good performance so hopefully we will see one tomorrow with a win. I think it's going to be tight though, and it could go either way. Perhaps VAR or penatly kicks will decide it...
