  1. Any evidence to suggest the lad is actually Injury Prone? Being out for 3 years with one injury and then having a couple niggles when coming back is not really injury prone. The same way Stuart Bannigan is not injury prone, he had 1 injury, that it just took an incredibly long time to get over. If he’s injured upon arrival that’s a different story, but no evidence to suggest that either.
  2. Loanees from the Old Firm, rarely do the business for us. Although, Mayo was pretty decent, the likes of Barjonas, O’Connor, Hazard - the season before, don’t really cut it. If there’s a particularly good young player at them, that McCall wants to sign, then fine, but I don’t think several is a good idea. Happy to be proved wrong though.
  3. Mulgrew hasn't played a single match in 2020, he has little to no chance of even getting into the squad, nevermind starting. It'll likely be, Gallagher, McKenna, Cooper and Hanley (if all fit) that are in the squad, none particularly sensational stand-outs.
  4. The only 2 who triggered their release clauses, were 2 of the biggest culprits of our problems last season, in fact it may actually have been better if a few more triggered it too. The delusion runs deep in you!
  5. His link-up play, used to be brilliant (not seen him play in a while though), his first touch, up there with the best I’ve seen, and he’s a good finisher (believe he’s still one of the top goal scorers of all time in the Premiership, since the SPFL was formed). Although, going by the accounts of Ayr fans, the goals have dried up, since his Thistle days.
  6. Kris Doolan is a solid pro, and one of the most likeable guys in football, certainly a top signing off the pitch for Arbroath, and if he gets the chances a good one on it too. All the best to him!
  7. I don’t disagree, there’s a big advantage to the Premiership sides this year.
  8. We’ll be competing for second, that’s basically everyone saying we won’t finish first, and could finish anywhere from second onwards. Just to add last season; East Fife (League 1) finished 2nd of a group with Hearts and Dundee United in it. Forfar (League 1) finished 2nd of a group with Ross County and St Johnstone (two PREMIERSHIP teams) in it. Albion Rovers (League 2) finished 2nd of a group with Dunfermline and St. Mirren in it.
  9. Ayr v Kilmarnock was on BT a few years ago I’m sure, I think Ayr were in League 1 at the time, obviously that was a Derby game though. Pretty sure Ayr, bet Killie 1-0, McCall was their manager at the time. ETA; Elgin were on BT (vs Hibs) last season, Raith were on BT (vs Hearts) along with the aforementioned Clyde game, the previous season, and prior to that, Queen’s Park (vs Motherwell) were on TV too.
  10. Are they not obliged to show like 4-6 games from the group stages?, not sure we will be one of their picks though.
  11. We’ll probably be competing for second place, as long as we’re competitive in the games, I’ll be pleased. As for the post about TV, i imagine Morton/St Mirren will make the TV whether any other games do, I’m not sure.
  12. In what way has he been quiet recently?yes admittedly, well he was presumably furloughed we couldn’t hear officially from him, but he had a lengthy interview with the club media about a week or 2 ago, speaking about signings and targets. You can read between the lines about his feeling regarding the situation, the same as most of us, he doesn’t need to come out and start slaughtering clubs and boards, what he needs to do is get promoted by May 2021.
  13. Considering what people were saying we could get, (most of it the media hyping it up) we did get off lightly in this instance anyway.
  14. Unless he improves from last season. We can only hope that he might. That said, I still think maybe another Centre-Half of experience wouldn’t be a bad thing.
  15. This is a good point, for all we had tall enough Defenders last season, they were rarely good in the air. Need to have a solid defensive structure, also concentration from the defenders needs to be better, often last season around the 75th minute, they'd go on a maze of errors, they need to be a lot more focused.
  16. Thistle don’t have any rivalry with Kilmarnock - to my knowledge. Maybe the older fans have a story behind it, can’t speak for them. As said above the songs that mention Killie and others are only because they are catchy, there’s no rivalry or clinging on we’re trying to do with Kilmarnock.
  17. Only who Thistle are playing against. It bothers me not, if Clyde win or lose games (usually we are separated by a league or 2 so it really means nothing). Only care about teams winning or losing If the outcome affects Thislte, but it’s not a hatred or dislike for a specific team. Don’t speak for other Jags fans though.
  18. Only hope McCall is right that Cardle has a big season in him. Felt he was slightly past it last season, but he’s been working hard during lockdown, so hopefully he’ll be at least a decent League 1 squad player.
  19. In what way? She was clearly asked advice, and responded saying not to mention any names, (of clubs etc.) had she not responded the club could have been in serious bother if a banner had went against any rules that are set regarding these types of things. It was also a private message, that really should have remained private!
  20. What I said wasn’t wrong though, she’s making sure the club aren’t in official bother with the SFA/SPFL due to wording/placing on a banner, hence why she took “advice”.
  21. 1. Limited 2. Only some of them 3. Probably Not
  22. Season’s literally just finished, he wasn’t going to be signed before then.
  23. In other words; I take it she’s trying to prevent the club from being fined or punished further.
