  1. Pitches have moved on considerably since then. Now interwoven hybrid pitches and lamps that create summer growing conditions in the bleakest of mid-winter
  2. It is perflexing....and I can see that you are a little frustrated. I cant believe that STV viewing figures for the England wifies can justify putting it on in all "regions". Probably given it very little thought to be honest. Scotland game on BBC iPlayer right now.....very poor insipid half and currently 0-0 v Serbia approaching half time.
  3. As things stand Scotland (3rd) would play USA (6th) in play off at 8am tomorrow for the right to play Canada in the semi-final. However, if Canada lose to Switzerland (who have just failed to get to play-offs) and Scotland beat Sweden tonight we would be straight into the semi (unlikely)
  4. One win should be enough to get in the play-offs. Norway and USA can both only get to 7 wins (which Scotland already have) Indeed Italy on 6 wins have to play SUI, GER and NOR. Win our matches and we can secure a semi spot or possibly top the table Rank Team Games Wins Losses 1 SWE - Sweden 9 9 0 Q 2 CAN - Canada 9 8 1 Q 3 SCO - Scotland 9 7 2 4 SUI - Switzerland 8 6 2 5 GER - Germany 9 6 3 5 ITA - Italy 9 6 3 7 NOR - Norway 9 4 5 7 USA - United States 9 4 5 9 CZE - Czechia 9 3 6 9 JPN - Japan 9 3 6 11 NED - Netherlands 9 2 7 12 KOR - Korea 9 0 9 12 NZL - New Zealand 9 0 9
  5. I actually subscribed to the curling channel for this tournament only - cost £15. You can watch all the games there. I noticed tonight when putting some of the English fitba on (sound down as listening to the curling on my laptop.) that the Scotland v Japan game was on Discovery + too. A really good day for Scotland with a couple of wins putting them into third place. They were toiling a little v Japan but a win of 3 in the 8th end to go 6-4 up made it a relatively comfortable finish. The aim has to be to finish in top 2 to get into the semis directly. Sweden are undefeated but play Canada tomorrow and scotland on Friday. Canada have one loss.
  6. Did Ally give any more detail on how he was going to break the law on Sunday......any mention? Furthermore, did Warnock reveal just how much fun he had during his time at Aberdeen?
  7. That's incredibly stupid from McCoist. I really like him as a pundit but seems he is pretty much condoning bigotry here....unless he cares to explain further?
  8. Was there? I can't recall that at all......far too many games (I also think 38 is too many and would be happier with say a 14 team division with a 6-8 split......resulting in either 31 or 36 games (play all twice then once or twice post split.)
  9. very strange indeed, almost identical posts yet a gap of 2.5 years. What is going on here?
  10. Just watched the last 10 mins on Hesgoal. They are really going to do it arent they.
  11. Soderberg had 9 birdies and 2 8's However, and perhaps this should be in the Reasons to Be Cheerful thread.......I am current World Number 1 on the DP World Tour Fantasy Golf (for the Indian Open that is) There are certainly over 30,000 entrants so pretty chuffed about that. Golf season starts on Sunday for me so hopefully I have as good a week with the real thing and not just the fantasy golf. It's been such a long winter...........
  12. Yup, it's really come to this now, people talk about the Dons having "Managerial Breaks" during the season.
  13. noticed that too......all the remaining Welsh players were shitting themselves.
  14. Been watching that game on my telly with my Ukrainian guests - delighted for them (also watched Scotland on my laptop....wee bit depressed about that but would be so much worse if a meaningful game)
  15. this is unbelievable.......imagine being Greek or Georgian watching this all the way through and they don't show penalties....nor even explain what they are doing
  16. eh 3 mins of injury time left and viaplay put on adverts...........
  17. whooshed I'm afraid. Just not sure how you close the door with half your butter in and other half oot.......with the resulting open door heating up the other items.
  18. Does that not ruin your meat, cheese, yoghurt and milk?.....also keeping half in and half oot will burn a lot of electricity on the fridge light
