Judging by the phone call last night from your 20’s coaching staff they don’t agree with you!

Our squad are gutted they’ve only 2 games in Glasgow or out of Ayrshire all season. The point made about Annandale travelling and not complaining is arse for elbow and missing the point. Teams want to travel to test themselves against different teams and players. Ayrshire teams are playing teams they know and players they’ve played against for years. All the Ayrshire sides signed up expecting and committing to travelling.

For the Ayrshire teams it’s just an expensive rehash of the previous Ayrshire 19’s league with some 17’s thrown in. The Ayrshire teams should’ve been spread across the conferences - why have Bonnyton got special treatment? Are the other Ayrshire teams not deemed good enough to compete in Glasgow? Conferences should’ve had at least 3 Ayrshire teams in each to encourage competition and DEVELOPMENT. I’ll stick by my piss poor effort comment and add Lazy to it... Ill put money on conference C not starting with those 12 teams and finishing with less. 14-12-9

Dam Park is the most expensive pitch hire in Ayrshire. It’s over £100 just to get them to put the floodlights on!

Troon FC will be playing at Portland Park and Marr Astro during winter (which has a barrier)

Doesn’t take away from my point about discussing a team that don’t have a 20’s team and talking about them co-opting an U16 team for next season...

So much going on with the 20’s league and they write an article about it with the manager of a club that doesn’t have a 20’s team and reference another club that doesn’t either but have co-opted a boys club team from a younger age group... pointless story

Troon will play at Portland Park & Marr Astro (during winter months.) Kilwinning and Irvine Meadow are both definitely entering teams into the 20’s league

The key is in the name of the league “development”

Where on earth are you pulling the figure of £10k from? Last season in the Ayrshire league we paid the refs £40 a game. (£38 halved by the teams every game - but nobody asked for a £1 change out of a score) Ref fees are not the big cost it’s pitch hire for games & training that are the major outlays.

With the standard of some of the refereeing in our league last season it could be money well spent for a higher calibre of game. Refs that can keep up with players/play and venture out the centre circle. Refs that don’t disappear to McDonald's at half time with players on the pitch waiting for them... (I kid you not - that happened last season) My understanding is that it will be development referees being used - the guys being fast tracked to the higher levels in the game. Sounds like a win-win situation to me tbh.

That’s the second time I’ve heard this rumour and I can confirm this as 100% nonsense. Not sure where this is coming from but there is absolutely ZERO truth in it.
