Quite sure they have and I’m sure it’s not a unanimous decision at all clubs that are committed to play on …… many hoping that fans are going to be let in sooner rather than later

As I said above IMO there playing Russian Roulette with the future of their clubs

So are the teams who have pulled out it’s a gamble either way

😃😃😃Absolute shambles, are you telling me 50+ treasurers haven't actually been working things out in recent weeks/months?

There all gutted cause there teams pulled out while telling everyone else there wrong to play if teams can afford to play then all the better get the football going and get lads playing again

Well technically there are no wages in Ammies or transfer fees. If players get cash from other sources dunno but it's no wages. Darren Miller at Darvel left Kilbirnie and decent wages to sign for Queen's Park and no wages then went ammie when he could have probably went for the cash at numerous junior clubs. Ryan Haxton who was at Darvel was one of lowest paid players when at Kilbirnie. Chrissy Craig who played at Colville has just left Kilbirnie for Drumchapel where he will be getting nowhere near the same cash. Players at successful clubs junior or ammie always get labelled as being there just for the cash , some aye , some nope.

Is this the same drumchapel who have Darian McKinnon etc

Mick can I ask how you’s can afford to pay these players? I’d imagine you’s will have 1 of the biggest budgets in the league and with players not taking a reduction taking into consideration there will be no gate receipts and hospitality surely the club is going to take a big hit financially.

Like many clubs at this level they have people who put money in sure fan money helps etc but how much really do U think fan money covers week to week not enough is the answer

The other question i have is what happens if the SFA secure Government funding to support clubs? That funding should go to the clubs playing on without fans. Not the clubs who've decided to chuck it for a season. Right?

    Correct million percent correct

What's so special about August? Are we going to be clear of this pandemic by then? Is it guaranteed fans will be allowed back in by then?

Exactly think it’s more about trying to manage and move forward with this or there might never be football at lower levels again as this virus isn’t going away anytime soon

Serious question. Do you think the clubs spoke to their players and management before deciding what course of action to take?

Maybe it will impact the clubs it opted out but the other side of the coin could be that it impacts the clubs who stayed in if fans aren’t back sooner rather than later.

The big thing in this is that no one knows who is right and who is wrong.

Also still don’t get why people are hoping that the decision that the clubs that opted are somehow harmed by this. Why can’t people just accept the decision that was taken. I am happy and hopeful for the clubs that are taking part just as I understand the reasons why the clubs opted out.

There are so many people on here who have never lived through the strain of running a non league club. In winter with no games you can struggle to get by. I remember one winter we never played a home game from the last Saturday in November right the way though to the middle of February. The committee were putting in there own money to keep the club going and pay players, training expenses, electricity/water etc.

There are many highs but there are just as many lows and I hope the clubs that are playing on mostly face highs.

I don’t wish harm on any club far from it I wish them all well but the clubs who left did best for them and the clubs that stayed obviously can afford to simple as that there is also a few on here from the bigger clubs who left hoping the clubs who stayed fall on there face for some reason seems a little like sore grapes if I’m honest because there team couldnt afford to play on

It was intentionally to help the clubs sitting out the season. They may be idle, I can't imagine they want their players to be as well.

They would have to have the players signed for next season as well and be paying them but as clubs are in breach of contract so to speak by not participating players are free to leave if they want

  10. Teams pulling out could be a good thing as won’t be talbot winning everything from now on as they will never be the same again this time out will effect all the clubs as players may look to play elsewhere as well as the manger and coaches this season out as well as the lost time already may well be the end of the so called bigger clubs who bailed out

Even though in almost all cases it was agreed with the players and management?

And would also suggest that I'd rather PFC exist at all in a year's time than have all of the staff and players remain ongoing - were that the choice. The staff and players as far as I know are of the view that the club's survival is more important than playing on in a very questionable and uncertain environment. We looked after them over lockdown and I am very happy to see they are now, in turn, looking after the club.

So they won’t play football at all for all this season and the 6/7 month they have already missed they will be in fantastic playing condition when they come back lol

  12. The worry for the teams that pulled out I would think is what state will they be in for when they come back as I’m sure they will lose there players and talbot etc could very well lose the manager

It is shite that we can't get to games but we need to be thankful that we live in a world where live streaming is an option so at least we'll still be able to watch the games in some capacity. If something like this had happened even 5 years ago it may have been a different story.

See if your still saying that at ko when ur in house with worst stream in the world 😂😂

Mcguigan has now scored a hat trick, in my opinion he should never be out of that team but because of issues with coach brought in from juniors he's seemingly being allowed to leave. Shambles of a decision. By all accounts the coach in question has previous.

If it’s the coach why is it only McGuigan who has the issue ?
I assume u are speaking of mcgoldrick

We know what they are like, dirtiest team in the Lowland league. 😄

Don’t want to hijack the thread but I see bsc announced game at Stranraer on sat ? Some trek for a friendly especially if lads are supposed to travel themselves in cars and not share 🤔 especially if teams aren’t paying players just now could be wrong but maybe they are paying still but 😂

    Two issues here.

Not sure what the difference is between this and football. Someone mentioned that football isn’t played in cars, which isn’t an argument in the first place when you think about fans attending an event.

The main issue however, is that if this photo represented a match at non-league football match, then it would be the last! The crowd is not social distancing. The whole argument of allowing fans into football in a reduced capacity is that clubs would/must ensure fans stay apart from each other.

Anyone using this photo as an positive argument, to persuade Scottish Ministers and SFA to let into football, would be laughed at, at the first hurdle and are the reason why we are still having this debate!

Agree with no masks and they are not distanced at all but this is third week of them attending lol we can’t even get a chance to baws it up 😂😂
