  1. Agree that it didn't work. Seemed unbalanced and awkward line up. Except that mctominay and McGinn we're the weak links in there yesterday.
  2. Gordon Forrest-Hanley-cooper-Tierney Fraser-Gilmour-Armstrong Christie-Adams-Robertson
  3. Dykes should be finished after that. Adams as first choice all day, followed by Nisbit. A front 3 of Robertson Adams and Christie would have been too much for the Czechs. But we played defensively, when we don't have the players to do it that way.
  4. Did not know that. Only seen the article recently that he was moving into coaching at county, now he's done as a player.
  5. Hope not. He has no coaching experience to speak of. What could he possibly have said in the interview to come out on top of all other candidates?
  6. Would they really? Considering the highest value of imported goods is from Norway. China and USA, being 2nd and 3rd. Would we really be in any different a position to the rUK?
  7. Stugeon's doing it on purpose! Deliberately keeping the currency weak to gain an unfair trading advantage. But one question I have if we had a weaker currency, why would that mean higher prices? It even says in the article Doesn't this point contradict that?
  8. Good listen on the podcast guys. Just got through it. Thought I'd way in on what we need for next season. Firstly on defense. There's a good young core already there. But an experienced leader coming in might get the best of them. Logan or Ambrose would be great. What about Alan Lithgow as well. Released by livi, and experience in a promotion winning side. I liked the look of Leon McCann at Airdrie too. Could eventually replace Harper when bigger clubs come looking. And could also get some game time, if we pushed Harper up at times. Midfield is pretty solid already. I'd argue we already have 2 decent number 10s in MacGregor and Doran. I'd be happy enough, with the young lad. (Hyde I think) stepping up to Vincent's spot. Attacking is where we need to improve the most. Would be great to keep Todorov. Storey isn't going to be a double figures scorer. And would only be insurance if who we bring in doesn't work out anyway. Connor shields would be my top target there. Hester could maybe make the step up. I'd take Simon Murray too, if he wanted to return to full time football. Wingers should also be a priority. I'd like 2 coming in. Scott Tiffoney, and Daniel Armstrong, would be great if we could get them.
  9. Ok Hamas may be Islamic fundamentalists, but what else is going to work? other than what they're doing. Palestinians have been demonised to a majority of voters in Israel. So Israeli government's don't look likely to stop persueing a policy of near extermination any time soon. The only thing that will end this is international intervention. And continued violence is the only thing I see as possible to keep the attention for that to happen.
  10. Got a lot of joy. When there was good crosses coming in. But ineffective when that was coming from Storey or Sutherland, who were never going to provide the service he needs.
  11. I thought seedorf was alright. And would probably have done better for us at right back this season. He just seamed to have a dip in confidence, and would have been all right with a wee break. The other Seedorf, I can see getting released by Motherwell. The sort of player we'd be looking at, and we need a replacement for Dan Mackay.
  12. Interesting you should mention that. As I had watched a few documentaries a while back, about Jews remaining in North African countries. They were claiming the exodus to Israel was caused by a campaign of fear propoganda, through things like leaflet drops. And not hostility from Arabs in their homelands.
  13. Is it Scot Gardiner making decisions on contracts right now. Haven't heard if robbo is returning anytime soon. Our attack just wasn't good enough this season. So re-signing Shane doesn't seem like a good move. To be competitive at the top, we need to be looking at new players now, or we'll be left behind.
  14. We can also record who you vote for on these cards. And make it available for anyone to see. A more transparent election.
  15. Technically, I guess they did in the end. But only needed as the Salmond affair had brought it down in the first place. SNP and greens were doing just fine without them. They've caused the SNP to push the both votes SNP and turn out. Also prompting the unionist response. So I'd see there overall effect, as slightly more Tories elected.
  16. I've always liked Shane, when he uses his power to run through players. And he did show a bit of that at the start of the season. Looking like a good signing. But that faded, and he became pretty anonymous out wide as the season went on. Eventually dropping down the pecking order. Seems to have had plenty of chances at goal too. But a little too wasteful to be considered for our main strikers.
  17. Over on sky. Wifie, mentioning pro indy majority anyway with the greens. It's a small thing, though correct. But glossing over stuff like this by other national presenters, makes them look like they really don't know anything about it. And see Scotland as completely foreign to them. BTW. At this point I think Naga is just saying things to seem controversial.
  18. Once given a run this season, he's proven to be far better than average. Picking Kennedy over Mackay early in the season seemed a massive waste to me. Kennedy might have been more eye-catching to watch. But I think Mackay got more out of those around him.
  19. Good to have support for it having a bigger role. Do they also support the greens proposals, for any local control, such as council's having a say?
  20. With a need to reduce emissions, over the next couple of years. And hopefully big investment in public transport. I'd expect that road to still be sufficient enough for trade with Ireland. The Irish government already has a lot of good will with Scotland anyway. Also would building ferry capacity further north, not be more cost efficient, than dualling a road. Looking the other way. I'd see getting better access to Germany, or Scandinavia to be more likely. Expanding the Scottish national investment banks remit. And setting the agenda on currency should also be priorities, in building the case for independence.
  21. I would reckon after the election. An SNP government will announce plans for a referendum to be the second half of the parliament. With covid recovery being the reason given for it taking a while. But I'd hope there would be big moves to build infrastructure for independence in Europe.
  22. Greens have criticized SNP vivid handling quite a lot. And have tried to offer more constructive solutions than the other parties. Also, why would they bother to comment on anything Jason leitch says?
  23. Might take a while, considering half the population are refusing to get vaccinated.
