Ayr vs Inverness - 12/8/23
Juanhourjoe replied to GuyIncognito's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
That's 3 stackable runs in 3 seasons. And only 2 games into the league campaign. I agree, the board is useless, and unlikely to do anything soon. But apathy isn't going to change anything. The only way I can see them take notice, is to turn up in numbers, and make them hear how much the fans want him out. -
I don't think our defense was that bad. Apart from 2 mistakes leading to the goals. Problem for me, was a very ineffective midfield. Causing the defense to be under a lot more pressure than they should have been. Bray clearly much better than anyone starting in the middle today. And has to start next week. Lodovica was not worth the wait. Most immobile player I've ever seen.

Early 2023/24 predictions

Arbroath were up in the playoffs and challenging. While bringing in players from lower markets than all the teams around them. Morton could do the same this season imo. -

1. Queen's Park Seems to be steadily strengthening, year on year. With a bit more consistency, will be favourites for me. 2. Dundee United On paper easily winning this. But also possibly, enough of a basket case, to f**k it up. 3. Inverness Caledonian Thistle Much the same as last year. Hopefully without as big an injury problem this year though. 4. Greenock Morton Well organized, if unspectacular. The leagues new Arbroath 5. Raith Rovers Seems stronger. But still not a playoff side, for me. 6. Dunfermline Athletic Too reliant on average championship, and inexperienced players to be any higher 7. Airdrieonians Pretty weak looks squad. But another team I see doing well, from being well organized 8. Patrick Thistle lost a lot of good players. And don't seem to have done much to to replace them. Should be worried. 9.Ayr United. Won't have the goals of last season. Despite finishing near the top, weren't a very good side. 10. Arbroath They're finished. -
That was a very disappointing watch. 90% of that was passing backwards, or losing the ball.

We're pretty loaded for centre backs. I don't think Deas and Allardice are going to turn out to be that big of a miss Right winger definitely a priority. But from his highlights Brooks looks just as comfortable out wide. Trialist doesn't seem to be impressing. I'd just keep Cairns as 4th choice striker/big man option. Good to see all our signed strikers on form, and scoring plenty.

He's already one of the highest paid players in the league. So even if you're offering him a 2 year deal. Is he going to be within your budget? -
How anyone can see anyone but the tories as the villains here, is beyond me. The SNP are just bottlers.

Rumoured to be in contract talks at Caley. Doesn't sound very inspiring. -

Daniel o Reilly. Was he any good in the championship? -
I could take both at face value, and see the clubs view. And also see the email as a copy paste job. That from it's generic nature Shane has taken too literally. The ICT response makes it out to be a legal requirement, that every club does the same. And I've heard plenty of players from other clubs coming out with the same complaints. Still. Club should really have told him this was likely well in advance.

Choosing not to have the strongest team possible, is certainly a choice. And will surely lead to relegation, loss of momentum, and crowds, sooner rather than later. -
Scottish Cup Final 2023 - ICT v Celtic
Juanhourjoe replied to Ned Nederlander's topic in Domestic Cup Football
The BBC commentator's certainly wouldn't agree they were off form. Talking like it was the greatest celtic performance of all time. Considering Caley put out 2 premiership teams with relative ease. It's not a surprise that they could make a reasonable attempt at containing celtic.
