  1. It's one of about a dozen factors from a green perspective of SNP sabotaging bute house. Being ineffectual, and appearing to be losing to other factions of his party, and trying to unify their support might be one part. Or maybe, he just thought that keir starmer seems to be really popular right now, so the SNP should do more of what he's doing?
  2. Samuel's not much of a goalscorer, but good a bringing the ball forward. McKay is good in front of goal, works hard deeper, but doesn't have the creative ability. I don't know what Ferguson's thinking, but not putting the right mix of attacking players available to him in the right positions, has been our biggest weakness under him. And why we are where we are
  3. Max underwhelming. Came in with a lot of energy, but think he's gone backwards further into the season Cammy been surprisingly good.
  4. After both particks equalisers I felt the belief that we could go on to score more. Something that had gone recently, as we would just pass it around a crowded defence forever. The sending off killed that excitement in the game though.
  5. Doran, because he can take a shot. Definitely have one of them in over Shaw too though. We have a fair bit of attacking options. But haven't really made much use out of them yet.
  6. Losing faith in Duncan a bit right now. Still think we have players who can do better, but the tactics aren't working. The 2 new defenders don't necessarily weaken us at the back. But bring the ball forward a little quicker. That's one positive. We're still lacking a creative outlet to get in behind defences. Relying on Samuel to just batter through. And neutralising Billy (our biggest goal threat by sitting deeper. He doesn't have the vision to be making the passes to break through defences. Neither does Shaw or long staff. Just bring in Doran or Macgregor, play the 2 strikers high up, or both. Not sure about Macalister yet. Didn't seem great. But give him a bit of a chance. People a bit better, can run with the ball and getting into good positions. Looked more likely to score than Samuel by the end
  7. Possibly more comparable to Robertsons knowledge of players coming from Edinburgh. But with a bigger and better pool hopefully.
  8. Any caley fans who saw the game today, what did you think was our best back 3? Since they all got a game today. Bar Ujdar.
  9. Don't think many fans were complaining about the defence currently. Savage makes sense for long term squad building, but taking in a youngster on loan too? Surely 2 young players, with very little to no first team experience, aren't both going straight into the starting lineup? A wee bit concerned how this is going to turn out.
  10. Not sure the point of this one. Is he really better at RB than Carson. If not, that's a lot of RB options not doing anything. Not sure there's the space for Carson to move into a more central role either, with MacGregor and Doran coming back. But we'll see how he does anyway
  11. Yeah didn't see any other youngsters getting a chance till we were safe now. The players that go to Elgin do usually go on to do well. So maybe hope for him next season.
  12. Unless we move to a front 2 we really need the wide players to be getting up, and getting crosses in. So Kerr would still be behind Carson for right back spot.
  13. Samuel did well. Still don't see him being a huge goal threat. But think he'd be capable of opening up space for others with breaking through defences in the championship. Duffy and Longstaff don't really offer much in getting the ball into good positions. Hope Furgason sees that now. Being close to the dugouts yesterday, could hear Dunc telling Longstaff off for coming too deep, every time a move started on the left which was pleasing. Doran and MacGregor back good too. And should give us a bit of a boost in creativity. Thompson got on, and struggled to make much of an impression. Think Anderson was supposed to be further forward from the start but didn't do much. And Carson went more advanced when he went off, which was a big improvement.
  14. Maybe a bit more, if there's competition to get him in. But didn't know we even had Peanuts to give. We've walked away from having to pay the smallest of fees before.
  15. Being seeing that. Do we have money for transfers now? Other clubs , including hibs have apparently been looking at him.
  16. Yep. Before the Samuel announcement. Still don't see a much threat of goals, if Billy's not playing.
  17. No McKay, Devine or Harper for this. From the recent starting players, I don't see anyone with goals. Id move Shaw over to the left for this, and use Bray/ Thompson for at least part of the game. Hopefully MacGregor too, if he's ready. No fit striker available. Probably Doran starting up front. Which might be ok considering under our recent set up, Billy's been wandering in and out of midfield, with the hope of AMs running on.
  18. Thanks everyone. Wee curry house was a good shout. But maybe a bit further out than I was looking for. Think we might try saffron by paradise, for a Sunday curry instead. Mikaku could be on for the Thursday too
  19. Will be in Glasgow with the misses during Celtic connections. Looking for some pre show dinner suggestions please. Anything that's got a bit of a funky vibe. ( An interesting place to sit, as much as some decent food. Going to the mackintosh church on Sunday night. And staying a good bit out west. So ideally something on the way. For Thursday anything close to the royal concert hall. Suggestions most appreciated. Thank you
  20. Surely Doran and McGregor have gotten got enough to handle 5 minutes at this pace. Nobody else is going to create, or take a chance.
  21. So... Who's backup if Harper gets injured. I'd have kept him, at least till Nicholson got back playing.
